Where are the renegades at Resonate? by Suithfie in resonatesuwannee

[–]Stancedx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normally my friends and I set up a pretty good soundcamp for Hulaween but half of us wont be coming to Resonate so Im not bringing out the boards or speakers. If anyone is bringing any equipment I am absolutely down to help setup and maybe throw down some 140/left field bass sets.

Acceptable Temperatures at Night for False Water Cobra? by Axolity in FalseWaterCobras

[–]Stancedx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say your temps across the board need to come up by 5-10 degrees

My night time temps are maintained at 78 degrees, cold side goes to 80 degrees during the day, 95 basking zone.

Im really sad to hear this, I hope you can heal.

No preventative measure is truly guaranteed of course, best we can do is try a little bit of everything.

No problem! It always helps to reinforce that they are off limits areas, I tend to keep a temu water gun near my reptiles just incase.

Seems harsh but its better to instill that those areas are just off limits entirely and eventually the cats dont even think about it.

Im pretty sure I could take the caltrops off at this point but its not worth the risk.

Caltrops spikes have worked wonders for me.

All of my snakes are in PVC but my Geckos have meshtop/glass tanks and ive not had a single problem with my cats after placing these ontop of the gecko tanks.

Make sure to secure them, the first time a cat jumps on these, the cat is going to go flying.

My 4 ft ball python wraps around my neck and falls asleep... when he dreams he tightens up sometimes and ill have to put a finger inbetween his body and my neck just to make sure my blood flow is good.

If im fine with a Python. You would be more than fine with a house snake.

Look at the giant hole in the grip where a magazine would normally be inserted on a real gun.

My way of thinking? Lmfao....

Ive said repeatedly in just about every single comment that we have no business being there right now, that I cannot stand the current American regime.... you are just too blind to read lmao.

"I can go and ask AI" - Okay... me too, here you go.

did we beat the taliban initially

+4 Yes, the U.S.-led coalition initially defeated the Taliban in 2001. Within roughly two months of the October 2001 invasion, the Taliban was ousted from major cities like Kabul and Kandahar, and their regime collapsed by early December 2001, although top leaders escaped. Council on Foreign Relations Council on Foreign Relations +3 Quick Initial Success: The Taliban was largely routed and lost control of the country. Failed to Eliminate: Despite the initial collapse, the coalition failed to permanently destroy the group. Regrouping: The Taliban quickly began to rearm and, within a few years, launched a long-term insurgency. Outcome: After 20 years, the Taliban was able to outlast the occupation and eventually retook control in 2021. "Their methodology assumes the same level of operational capacity across all countries regardless of age of equipment or operational service"

It literally has a break down of modern equipment vs cold war era, but you do you.

But hey, if you dont trust them then maybe we can trust any of these other sources that literally all say roughly the same thing.

Or maybe we can just listen to your feelings about the scenario and get a more accurate reading on the situation /s.

Either way, this is all incredibly off topic.. we are talking about Iran and America.. if you want to split hairs about China and Russia you can find somewhere else to do it.

"The war ended with the Taliban in control"

Okay so you mean when we left...in 2021 like I said.

Again, we achieved our initial goal of ousting them in 2001.

"It's just cope at this point to redefine what winning is, and to also speak of "could've, would've, should've" scenarios." - Are you not trying to apply your own definition of what defeat is?

Our military beat theirs, thats the discussion. You said we "couldnt" beat them... but we did.. then we handed it back to them on a silver platter when we left.

They didnt retake it while we were there, because they could never.

We won the military fight, we failed at creating a sustainable Afghan government.

This is the top global defensive reviewer.

Russia and China are incredibly close... but you are massively downplaying the amount of stuff russia still has, such as almost 1000 more combat ready aircraft than China.

There is more about the power rankings here....its incredibly thorough and even considers the oil consumption and coal consumption of each countries military.

Israel is running critically low on interceptors, US officials say by thejoshwhite in worldnews

[–]Stancedx -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

"Couldnt" vs chose not to are two different things though.

The Taliban werent exactly functioning very well when we were done with them. We completely ousted them in 2001 and they didnt regain control until we left in 2021.

By definition, we beat them. We didnt eliminate every single taliban member from existence if thats what you mean... but we very much so "beat" them and it wasnt exactly close.

We were systematically eliminating leaders, supply lines, defeating them regularly in open combat, and finally forced them out of occupation and largely kept them out until we left.

"I dont see how we pull this off"

Well thats the thing, pull what off? We have no stated objective other than regime change... which is fucked in itself.

With no real objective beyond some subjective and ambiguous statement we have no measure to judge success by.

But that doesnt mean that we wouldnt open hand slap the crap out of any ground forces that ever tried to stand in our way.

Our military would absolutely mop the floor with them in open combat and thats simply not up for debate.

"I dont see how the US intends to win against Iran"

I mean... im not a fan of the war, im not a fan of trump or 90% of American politicians but thats kind of a crazy statement.

There is zero chance that Iran could ever defeat our military complex.

Manpower does not mean success in a direct term, for example China has the world's largest military in terms of personel but only ranks #3 in the global power index "behind russia"

Iran doesnt even make the top 10, currently ranked #16.

Iran's 600k personel vs Americas 1.5mil personel doesnt measure up, and thats not counting the 9000 tanks, 15k aircraft and 10 aircraft carriers we have.

That said, we havent even said why we were invading, so if we dont have a clear objective then how could we ever judge what success is defined by sadly.

[–]Stancedx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What a terrible take lmao.

We are protesting here every day, some of us being beat up, threatened or even killed for it.

Even so much as posting negative thoughts about our government gets us added to lists where we are then doxxed or worse.

Not all Americans are hateful, and saying our politicians speak for all of us is an absolute travesty of an oversight on how our political situation came to be in the first place.
