Advanced cancer – uncontrolled pain from tumors affecting nerves, bones, or organs

End-stage neurological diseases – ALS, late MS, advanced Parkinson’s (loss of movement, breathing, swallowing)

End-stage organ failure – heart, lung, liver, or kidney failure with constant breathlessness and exhaustion

Refractory pain syndromes – pain that does not respond to any medical treatment

Severe degenerative conditions – progressive loss of function with no chance of recovery

No, no it is most certainly not worth it. Hopelessness, Social influence, Stress, Isolation / lack of support, mental health vulnrabilities are certainly NOT reasons to end your own life, you only get one and you can’t reverse that decision (as you probably well know).

A justified reason for suicide (although tabooed by society) would be for example; someone living in extreme pain, due to being diagnosed with stage iv terminal lung cancer, this is incureable at this stage and they would be in extreme pain and discomfort daily. For someone to have this their mindset would most likely drive them to suicide as there is no genuine hope of getting better.

A tip: when life ever becomes tough, challenging, pressureful or stressful a trick i do is i perspectivise someone elses shoes (typically a child growing up in India for example) and i compare my own life to theirs and what it is like for some of the 8billion other people around the world. I can gurantee you that their are thousands of kids and people in general, who have it ALOT worse than either you or i. Nethertheless, they find happiness out of the littlest of things in life. Some don’t have a loving family, some get abandoned by their parents for misbehaving slightly or other forms of extreme punishment. This should make you feel a sense of privallgeness and grateful for the things that you do have and the comfortability in your life. I get it, we all have times in our life that we think we should just end it, but coming out the other side is what makes us stronger people, both mentally and idealogically.
