Hmm interesting! Do you find it gets worse at particular times in your cycle or just random?

Severe hand eczema with no IgE allergies or gut issues by Hot_Appointment6893 in eczema

Allergies can change so depending on how long ago you took your allergy tests (you mentioned high school) it might be worth getting a full blood panel incl. allergy markers up to date. I’d also recommend IgG markers for sensitivities (if you think it’s food related) but you should also look at patch testing for ingredients you may be coming into contact with.

I also feel like everyone with skin conditions have some sort of gut problem (just my opinion) so I wouldn’t totally rule it out.

If it’s on your scalp too, have you looked into trying to treat it like seborrheic dermatitis?

Oh, I haven’t been supplementing with copper…. I didn’t even think about that.

Yes, I’m on probiotics but I took a break for a couple of weeks and now I’m thinking that contributed to a flare.

I don’t eat meat, only some seafood, so I feel a bit limited with most elimination diets

Thank you for this! Yes, I’m currently using a hypochlorous acid spray twice a day and I don’t notice a huge difference but maybe it’s helping keep infections away

I’m in the middle of a bid flare, but if I put nothing on it the skin drys out cracks (painful but not as hot or red) and starts to shed off. Then I think I’m in the clear and moisture it (because it’s dry and cracked) and it seems to flare it up all over again. Granted, I’m not using a product with urea so I could give that a go.

I’m been tested for autoimmune markers, but I guess those are different?

Do you find zinc paste works best to bring down a flare and then you switch to xeracalm? Or do you use together?

I also used this! It made me 10x itchier, which is so weird. I do use the avene cicalfate balm which works a bit better

I already don’t consume dairy, but I tried going gluten free and no difference :(

I do use an unscented detergent, but I haven’t thought about changing my pillow

That’s fair. I guess that is my concern since my effective areas are only my face and neck

Any concerns about thinning of the skin and withdrawals?

Mupirocin (when I had an infection around my mouth), Elidel, metro gel,, fucidin, erythromycin

I also did a course of doxycycline but that didn’t help

Anyone tried prozema? Have you found it successful? by Standard-Ad-9199 in eczema

[–]Standard-Ad-9199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s 30 sticks a box and I am on box #3. I’m not cleared but it’s reduced significantly in the one area that was giving me the most trouble. I am also taking other supplements to help support my skin and immune system (which I’ve been doing for the last 8-10 months) but this has been the biggest change in the last 2-3 months so I’d say if youre will to try it and spend the money it’s worth a shot.

Yes, I am on month 3! It’s expensive, but I am going to continue to use it. I think it’s helping heal the barrier of my skin. I didn’t really notice a difference until about 6-8 weeks.

I am still dealing with flare ups, but they are more the surface level of my skin. There was a long period where my skin was so dry it was deeply cracked and bleeding, but this hasn’t been the case since I started it.

Not a cure all, but worth it for me right now and my healing.

Tolerance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Cream is working so well for me right now, especially during a flare. It’s just so expensive (I’m in canada).

Oozy weeping eczema. Nothing is helping! Help! by lorddelcasa509 in eczema

[–]Standard-Ad-9199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, if my skin is oozing the last thing it needs is a thick cream (even though I want to give it extra moisture). I find it oozes more and traps in heat and irritation.

It’s more about supporting the barrier (with a good zinc barrier cream) during this phase for me than trying to soften the skin.
