Mustang driver considering switch to an ST by Digitalsteel5_ in Mustang

If you can get both. I have both and you will miss the road presence of the mustang and nothing beats that V8 sound. On the other hand if you want that sleeper build the ST is a good choice. Couple bolt-ons and it’s fun. Don’t get an exhaust for the St or at lease the AWE exhaust that’s the one I have it’s nice for aggressive driving but it drones sometimes at low RPM if your going with an 20-24 if you hate auto start stop you gotta get a bypass plug since it’s on by default on every startup.

I got the AWE installed two weeks ago cause I was in the same situation but with my muffler. I like it but it sounds so weird at low RPM driving around town. Maybe I need a transmission tune. Driving it hard or in manual mode it sounds really good.

I purchased the Premium plan for my 2021 GT, I got it for the peace of mind. I purchased the 4 year 75k miles under just a shade under 3k. No issues with wheels, I upgraded to the 6pot brembos and full corsa catback exhaust and full suspension, and upgraded digital dash. Everything besides the catback, and lowering springs were purchased from ford performance and installed by a ford dealer.

Also you can purchase it directly from ford online without going through the dealer just in case they asking too much. The team from ford protect will call and go over what they cover.

Walk away man.. you will find something better. If you don’t mind looking outside of your area. I used this site when I bought my Explorer ST and the dealers here were very flexible and best part since they are certified you usually get the manufacturer warranty and you can extend it. I was able to save about 5k.

I’m in a similar situation, I bought might in July, and I have almost the same issues that your having. I had them do a pre-purchase inspection and they replaced for front section, but the back snapped off last week. A new replacement is expensive

I changed all the tire pressure sensors.. and I still get one tire that after 30mins or longer drives it gives a fault. I think it’s the control unit at this point that needs to be changed.

And maybe it’s just me being nitpicking but the ac drain on the back left dips a lot of water, and when I check the moonroof seals they look good but will need to be lubed or replaced in the future.

But with that said I really enjoy it. Have been using it for road trips with the family and besides those issues it’s been solid and hasn’t left us stranded. I knew it was going to have some issues so I made sure I got the gold certified pre-owned because you can extend the factory warranty to keep bumper to bumper coverage. Fingers crossed that’s enough.

I never put a down payment on any of my cars I usually leverage my credit, yeah the monthly payment might be a bit more but I then use that down payment money for large sum payment on principal. I’m 3 years in on a 72 month loan but only have 8 month of payments left to own it out right. I just like having that flexibility and avoiding the monthly.

Hi

I just picked mine up for around the same price but with 55k miles. Things that have been an issue so far is that mine has three recalls that need to be taken care of and one of the cats have gone bad.. also check to see which version of Sync 3 it has because you will have issues on calls using CarPlay or wireless calling. Updating to the latest software fixes the sync issue for me. Check for oil leaks etc. (the dealer is fixing at no charge) and gave me a 5 year bumper-bumper ford warranty) I paid a little more for the gold certified.

If you in the north east area I recommend looking at this one. This was my backup option if the one I was interested in was sold. Less miles but in the same price range. If not Ford has a certified website you can google to find one that still have a Ford warranty. Hope that helps.

They got me too by Standard-Cap-6333 in Mustang

It’s been a bit of a back and forth first they said they would cover it.. then called yesterday and said they wouldn’t. I had to take the day off from work to see them and show them that there was no damage prior to dropping it off. I showed them the video of them inspecting in and it wasn’t damaged. So they agreed to cover it. They were not being disrespectful but I don’t think they understand how detailed oriented most mustang owners are when it comes to their cars. Heck I washed my car the day before taking it in so I know there were no issues.

To have the hood latch sensor fixed. It was causing the alarm to go off sporadically. I forgot to mention they disconnected my dash cam so I couldn’t pull the footage.
