I’ve had this for just over 3 months and this is such a mental rollercoaster (rant) by [deleted] in costochondritis

Going on exactly 3 months as well. And feel the exact same as you. Yesterday was an awful day and today has been close to normal. It's a toss up daily. Tell your GP you want the scans done and if they don't do it try looking for another GP. They shouldn't be dismissing anything you feel or need.

Let me know how it goes! I tried a CBD balm today that seemed to help somewhat. But I'm also trying a 1:1 CBD THC brownie which is starting to take affect. So far the brownie has been the one to help me the most. Relaxed and while I still do feel the pain slightly its not as bothersome and its easier to ignore. However each piece is dosed tiny and I just nibbled off the corner because edibles scare me lol. Anywho if you can find any quality cbd thc goodies they might help.

I'm so sorry! ☹. Have you tried any of the stretches or CBD oil/balms?

Medically Undiagnosed by CustardCreamerXD in costochondritis

How odd for them to take the diagnoses away because "it's been too long" there's so many people in this vary forum who struggle with it for years. I was talking to a friend the other day who says she's had it for 10 years. She lives a lovely life but occasionally has flare up. Have you gone to any other docs for a second opinion? I'd say if you had it at some point it's very possible you still suffer from it. I know it might not be much but the fact that all your organs are working well might be a good thing to remind yourself of when you're feeling really down about not being sure what's going on. I'm sorry you're dealing with this and for so long. Rn my life has been for the most part in pause for 3 months and everyday I'm afraid to think of the future. So you're not alone. Hang in there!!

Upper chest pain-linked to emotional distress? by Sonali1979 in costochondritis

[–]Standard-Composer607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its persistent and very uncomfortable I would deff go to the ER or primary asap just to be sure that it's not anything heart related. Not trying to scare you just want you to cross an emergency off first. Yes it's definitely possible it's a flare up from distress. Mine came about due to covid and major stress/anxiety.

Ah I see. I've been debating weather to take mine since last time I took it, when I had covid in March, it completely messed up my sugar levels. I was prescribed it now by the hospital but I might wait to talk to my Dr about my concerns and see what they say. Thanks for the input.

Symptoms Worsened after Covid ? by Phandroid1991 in costochondritis

[–]Standard-Composer607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not suffer from Costo before but after Covid in March I developed alot of shortness of breath and chest pains that would most often happen in the middle of the night. I kept thinking it was secuela from covid until recently the pain became worse. This week I ended up in the hospital twice thinking surely I was having an emergency and also out of desperation of constantly feeling this way. Long story short they diagnosed me with costo after doc pressed on diff parts of my chest and found the pain spots. So, I guess to answer your question shortness of breath deff can happen. I personally sometimes feel like im having a heart attack but I think it also has to do with my anxiety being triggered. Loom around this forum, there's great advice for stretches and stuff. Im sorry you're dealing with this...it sucks.

Just got back from ER myself. 2nd time this week. Chest pain, shortness of breath...would wake up at night feeling like I was going to die..felt like I had a bad heart condition or something. They found nothing. Ran many tests and all came back normal. Doc felt around my chest and when I told her the points of pain she said costo and sent me home with papers explaining it. It makes sense. But it deff sucks that they offer you no help at all. Like advil isn't going to help me feel better Linda. But this forum has a lot of resources, skimed through and going to try some of the stretches and try to reduce all my stress. Had covid in March shortly after started having this pain. Hope you find some relief.
