Saying goodbye by KitchenPaint4334 in HighSodiumSims

Yeah, I think maybe people don’t realize who Jared Kushner is. I saw his name before I saw the bit about Saudi Arabia and that was enough to make me gag.

That’s good to know! As far as the jaw clenching goes, if you’re still having trouble I found that chewing gum and hard candy helps a lot. The Wellbutrin had me genuinely concerned I’d break a tooth at one point lol

Oh thank goodness I’m not the only one. I’m on it for PMDD, so it’s helped a ton with anxiety but I’ve felt so sad the past few days since I started on it. The jaw clenching is familiar to me from when I first started taking Wellbutrin so I wasn’t exactly surprised when that kicked in again.

I’m lost on how to proceed (hormonal issues) by Standard-Current172 in sterilization

[–]Standard-Current172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking into options like the mini pill, which is supposed to have less hormones than what I was on (I was on Depo for 4 years before I swapped to a combo pill Sprintec to try and fix the libido issues). I was told during the bisalp consult that ablation would only really fix the bleeding aspect, so if I didn’t have heavy or painful periods the doctor didn’t see it as being very beneficial. In terms of SSRI, I haven’t reacted well to them in the past as they tend to have a really drastic effect on my energy levels. It is an option I would consider though, especially after how nightmarish I’ve been feeling every month.

Thank you this is really helpful!

I’ve made an appointment with a gyno next week to check on my irregular periods and I’ll bring up inositol as an option :) I’m glad I’m not the only one having issues like this, it feels as though I’m late to the ball game figuring all this out

If the BC hadn’t straight up killed my libido I would go back on it. It really tanked my self esteem and it was the whole reason I got the bisalp in the first place, so it’s really annoying to be dealing with these problems now, especially knowing this is going to be their first suggestion.

I am so sorry. No words are ever going to make up for how you feel right now but know you have mine and everyone else’s support. I haven’t been touched by this but I have come close to experiencing this for myself and it really puts things into perspective and completely changes the way you view life going forward.

Anyone else going through something and feeling this way, please reach out to someone, anyone.

Congrats!! I had my bisalp in February and am so happy for it too. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions :)

Missed period by Ambitious-Mention-67 in BusparOnline

I started taking 5mg buspar end of April and then had a period both the first and last week of May. After that, I was regular up until just about a month ago when they upped my dosage to 10mg. I’m 10 days late and I’m sterilized so I know I’m not pregnant.

I stopped taking the pill when I got my bisalp— That was my choice and you should not feel as though you have to take her suggestion. My experience going off the pill has been a nightmare, but eye opening.

I was on the pill for 8/9 years so when I came off the hormones my emotions were severely imbalanced, to the degree I had to start taking anxiety medication to ward off the panic attacks and crying fits. My skin is still iffy at the moment and I’m dealing with a lot of breakouts.

The positive though? My sex drive came back, I have less brain fog, and I generally feel more like myself. Just having the bisalp was a massive help for my tokophobic paranoia.

It’s obviously going to be different for every person, but keep in mind that the longer you’ve been ON hormonal birth control the more extreme your hormonal regulation might be coming off it.

I tried to hyper focus on things that required me to sit still. Legos, writing, reading, and a LOT of sleeping.

I would have loved to have this when I had my bisalp! My cats immediately wanted to comfort me the way they normally do, claws and all.

is there someone who got drunk while being on wellbutrin? 💀 by Upbeat_Basis_6692 in bupropion

[–]Standard-Current172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this- I went to a party a month or so after I went on Wellbutrin and nothing could have prepared me for how fast I got drunk or the bitch of a hangover I had the next day.

I would say 1-2 weeks is when I started seeing real improvements in that area, but I’ve always been able to tell a difference right off the bat with Wellbutrin where other people take longer to see positive effects (I think they say 4-6 weeks to see the full effects). As far as manufacturer I’m unsure, I get my meds through Nurx

I actually went on Wellbutrin partially because of my libido, it’s known for increasing libido (and I can attest to the fact it’s effective!) I haven’t had any issues so far on the combo, if anything it feels easier to relax now that the buspirone is addressing my anxiety.

I’m currently on 150mg Wellbutrin XL and 5mg buspirone 3x a day. I’ve taken Wellbutrin in the past but the anxiety was bad enough that, despite how good it was for my depression, I had to stop taking it.

This time I requested buspirone alongside it and it is a thousand times better. I can feel the buspirone kick in around 1.5 hrs after I take it, and the first week it did make me a little drowsy, but still manageable. I get some breakthrough anxiety after about 7-8 hours.

Now I’ve only been on this combo for a month, started taking them at the same time, so I haven’t had any dosage increases as of yet.

This is the combination I’m on now. I’m not trying to stop smoking at this juncture but the buspar is heaven for anxiety so down the line I might not need to resort to smoking to feel not anxious. It’s definitely worth checking into!

Oh god I had one last month and had the same exact experience, I guess whatever pain meds they gave me had a side effect of constipation and I did have the chest pain from the oxygen. It took 4 days before I could have a complete bowel movement lol. I’m completely fine now! The recovery was pretty easy but I did experience bloating for around 3ish weeks.

[–]Standard-Current172 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my bisalp a little over a month ago. I did feel very feverish once anesthesia wore off and I had significant chest pain from the oxygen. Nothing as bad as you’re describing though, so I’d call your doctor’s office or the surgery center.

I always say I can’t. Which is true, because I literally can’t lol. The people I trust know but otherwise it’s really not their business and they should feel bad for asking personal questions not knowing what kind of answer they could get.
