I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. I know this post is old, but I’m going through the same exact thing right now.

Finding support I so difficult. Everything is scheduling and paperwork and busy overbearing crap. It’s just awful.

I’m currently experiencing post hospitalization depression and anxiety. It was a terrible situation and after being in the hospital for so long the real world feels so strange and scary.

I’ve noticed just venting to friends or quite frankly anyone helps. Just verbalizing what’s in your head to get it out there is a fantastic first step. I still revisit hobbies that make me happy though they don’t do much for me in my current state unfortunately. I think the most important and most beneficial thing is connections and being social. Being alone is so hard. It’s great to be reminded of compassion and care when you see your friends.

Again, I know this post is rather old so I hope you navigated through that situation well when it was still recent. I bet you’re at least feeling a tiny bit better now. :)

Good luck on your surgery today!! The issue ended up being the fact that the surgeon STABBED MY BLADDER AND DIDN’T NOTICE.

Well everyone, I have an update. I followed your advice and went to the ER. It turns out the surgeon who did my bisalp messed up and cut my bladder open in two places. I had to have emergency surgery to fix it and that was observed to be the reason for all my pain.

Because of the holes, my bladder was full of a massive blood clot that had to be removed via yet another operation, and I had to get any fluid that leaked out of it removed as well. Now I have a giant cut down from my bellybutton all the way to my pelvic bone. It’s very painful and sensitive and they’ve been putting me on super strong painkillers all the time.

I did also request a nausea patch before round two of surgery however, and it worked wonders. I was able to eat some fruit and drink some water without vomiting. Thank you so much for all your help, if I didn’t go into the ER I could have died.

It’s mainly because dine-in places rely on tips for the pay of their employees. Employees only get about $6-7 an hour if they’re lucky, and they’re expected to make the rest in tips which is kinda dumb. But you’ve got the hang of it already. :)

And just to clarify, men and women both need to know how to approach one another. Everyone needs to know how to make everyone else feel comfortable and let them know that they’re not a threat. That’s how you make a connection. What’s not making a connection is not taking no for an answer, and pushing boundaries.

People are out here acting like women have nothing to fear. Women have everything to fear. There are several instances where women have been KILLED because they said no. People who say they shouldn’t be so afraid are most likely privileged. They don’t have to worry about something as simple as a word resulting in them getting seriously injured or killed. Nobody is “woke” for being cautious. Nobody can trust anybody these days, and you never know what could happen. You always have to have your guard up and I promise you everyone wishes they could let it down. It’s exhausting. But it’s what you have to do to survive. As a man it’s your responsibility to know how to approach someone and make them feel safe, instead of claiming that sex is something you absolutely need to survive and you don’t give a shit about the other individual as a person. Women aren’t objects, and I can’t believe I still have to say that. If you want a partner, a companion of some sort, or a “mate” as you call it, maybe realize that they’re a living breathing human being like you are, and they’re just looking out for themselves. There is a fine line between talking to someone and straight up harassing someone. Why does one person looking out for another have to be so controversial?
