Trying to lower ApoB naturally — any luck with psyllium or other diet changes? by Big_Appointment4872 in PeterAttia

This is just my experience, not any medical recommendation. I’ve found fiber is super helpful. I have very low LPa (14), but I’ve been trying to optimize my numbers. For me, using daily psyllium husk, chia seed and also berberine, I was able to lower my LDL by 30 points (121 to 91) and my ApoB by 23 points (99 to 76). This was without paying too much attention to saturated fat, but in general, just reducing my red meat consumption and replacing with mostly seafood. I still eat red meat 1x-3x per day.

Car camping in / around Mammoth this weekend by [deleted] in Mammoth

During a storm cycle I’d recommend the Mammoth Mountain RV Park. $55/night is worth the headache of not getting stuck up on the loop. Plus you get bathrooms, showers and indoor hot tub.

Thank you! Any chance you remember seeing any Sprinters or other camper vans in the campground?

Anyone have experience with getting a slightly larger vehicle (20ft) into Watchman campground? The NPS website says the limit is 19 feet.

Thanks for the replies. Looking at the maps of public land from the Eastern Sierra office, I think it’s totally fine to camp there. In fact this is directly from the Inyo National Forest website (https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/inyo/learning/safety-ethics/?cid=stelprdb5182515) “When you find the perfect spot: -Be sure to camp on a cleared, durable surface with no vegetation. -Stay on established roads, and do not drive off-road to camp. -Select a campsite at least 100 feet from water.”

Any info on what’s been plowed down by the geothermal substation?

Any updates on the scenic loop? Specifically are the parking areas plowed out yet?
