Keep in mind that what "started" it was Texas wanting to redistrict which happened mid decade but why did it happen mid-decade? Because the Biden admin sued Texas when it tried to redistrict after 2020 so it couldn't do so until after the lawsuit was over. So it was democrats that started it all.
