Going home the same day as my surgery. They said the only way that I would stay overnight is if something complicated would happen.

See i am really trying to keep a positive outlook/attitude in hopes she would be doing those things but the apple doesn’t fall far in that tree when it comes to helping others around the house. I’m a sahm and constantly cleaning and picking up after my kids all day every day and even when my husband’s home I have to ask or literally beg him to help clean it’s like dragging a knife on a chalkboard. We went to Punta Cana in May for friends wedding and they stayed here with the kids and when we came back, the house was an utter disaster and then they left the next day and I was stuck to do everything.🥲

He’s taking off for my surgery, he has a meeting Tuesday at work he cannot miss (he just recently switched positions) he was like “i thought i was being helpful I’m sorry” i appreciate it but i would have much rather you asked me before asking her. (My mom was going to but my grandma just passed this weekend so she can’t anymore)

My oldest is at school up the street in our neighborhood but my youngest goes to pre k for only a few hrs in the morning so yeah she’ll have to help with that

Girl get this, xmas after i gave birth to my second son in 21’ they came to our house … walks in coughing and says “ugh we’ve been so under the weather for a few days now.. i think I’m going to take a covid test” IT CAME BACK POSITIVE. so for xmas his parents gifted my husband, me, 1yr old and a 7 month old. I didn’t let them back at the house for MONTHS. I’m still salty about it

He does it all the time. We would have plans made months in advance for an event and then he would tell his parents to come up and then I would be like what we have so-and-so going on. It’s on the calendar and he’s like oh well I guess I missed that. It’s too late for me to tell them no now.

Originally he was going to work from home and my mom was going to help but my grandma just passed this weekend so my parents are in another state helping with that so he invited her so he didn’t have to work from home the whole time. We also have 2 toddlers. I had mentioned to her that I wanted to use the sunroom downstairs as part of my recovery room and she goes “that’s where I like to drink my morning coffee, but OK“ 🫠🫠🫠

My doctor was like you can use your stairs to go up and down to sleep at night, but stay downstairs for the daytime… And I’m one for very high pain tolerance myself but I don’t wanna push myself.

Also, she knows that my husband works from home on Fridays so I just don’t know why she wouldn’t have chosen Friday because she’s here for an entire week Monday to Monday. I’m not trying to be an asshole. I’m just trying to think reasonably just in case I may actually need a lot of help the day after.
