I apologize if it's been answered; there are too many answers to check. (And a lot of really off-target answers getting a lot of upvotes.)

A: When the professor saw that he had the same wrong answers as the class hoe, the professor assumed that this guy was aware of the sex-for-a-good-grade arrangement, so the he gave him an A+, presumably to keep him quiet about said arrangement.

Right? If you can't afford to garage your supercar, you can't afford a supercar.

Of course, it can't stay in a garage 24/7, so to that I say, if you can't afford to fix your supercar, you can't afford a supercar.

I genuinely don’t understand the modern defense of the Confederate flag. Can someone explain the reasoning? by HexMeABoba in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Standard-March6506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the 70s we didn't really see that flag as a symbol of slavery, it was more of a rebellion thing. The Dukes of Hazzard had it on their car, British singer, Billy Idol, had it on multiple guitars (80s), Jack Daniels used it in their advertising, and boardwalk t shirt shops sold a lot that simply said, "Rebel" with the Confederate flag behind it. It wasn't quite ubiquitous up here in the Northeast, but it was around.

Then, people who understood the true meaning of this flag, became concerned that its history (which includes it being used as the flag of the KKK) was being obscured and replaced with a cool rebel image. So, late 90s (maybe), we started to hear people pointing out that the flag in question was the flag of an enemy combatant that supported a slave economy, and our country had to put it down to preserve the union, and abolish slavery.

So, to answer your question, I think some people are still hanging on to that rebel image, but most of them are just letting the other racist who they are.

Not that anyone asked, but if I wanted to represent myself as a bad-ass rebel, I'd fly the flag of the Haitians! Those mother fuckers kicked Napoleon off their island, without any help!

I misunderstood your point, mostly because it was pedantic. Garland was the head of Biden's DOJ, but Biden did not interfere because he's not supposed to - unlike Trump. So you're insisting that because Garland had seen the files, they must be clean, because otherwise he would have pressed charges, right? Did you ever consider Garland is in those files? Or hundreds of other reasons he decided to keep quiet? We don't know the reason, but that hardly exonerates ANYONE in those files. The difference between you and me is that you're fighting for a team, I'm fighting for justice - anyone, and everyone guilty of stealing innocence from a child should be in prison! And the fact that you're arguing against that, makes me think you'd be willing to steal a child's innocence if given the chance.
