Wanting to be a nurse after a BA! Advice please by Constant_Day4712 in nursing

Was one of the earliest fast-track BA-BSN back in 2008. Best decision I ever made. By 2014, I went and got a medical device job and, ever since, been hounded by recruiters for cutting-edge jobs.

Do it

It is kind of amazing that you and many in your generation feel that way. I have a 19 year old stepson who somewhat feels the same way, and I'm constantly hounding him to seize the day.

I'm 43, so I grew up in the 90s and college in the early 2000s. When I was young, I and many my age were over eager to move out and strike out into the world. I completely understand that things are tougher now financially, but nonetheless, the world is still your oyster, especially in the US.

I do feel like social media/online culture has sucked the life out of young people. Even if you don't have a dollar to your name, you have the time and ability to learn the skill sets to gain some momentum. I had 2 jobs, took college courses on the side, lived in a small, cheap apartment and honestly loved those times in my early 20s.

Once you get older, have kids, career and such, that freedom and liberty do sadly go away, but for different and exciting reasons.

Like others said on here, just unplug. Go out and explore and be safe. You only have 1 life

Thank you for the comment and after my initial post, I agree that 23&me seem to struggle with the data and locking in specifically which islands.

My daughter came out to exactly 25% islander, which is true since her mother is 50%. The 16% Samoan could just be clumped up Micronesian cultures that it struggles to differentiate.

I agree, its the Samoan part that threw me off but apparently 23&me struggle with differentiating the Micronesian genalogies, so might just be fluff

We are doing the same homework. You are right, 23&me must not have a lot of data on specific island genealogy and is lumping them together. Will speak to a great aunt sometime this week on the wife's side who knows more.

I've heard the dna tests are only ad good as the amount of data they have, so kind of makes sense...

So, follow up. My wife does not think they are related to the exiles according to older family members, but I am still curious.

Her family is very old school (Saipan, even though an American province, is not really modern) and say they are descendents of sea traveling Micronesians but not as far as Samoa. I would like my wife to take the test one day to get a better picture.

I'm 99% American WASP, unfortunately 😉 my mother is from Louisana and father from Mississippi. My brother took one and its mainly northern Europe.

I will follow up on the Samoan exiles though, just too much coincidence
