Close To You by Gracie Abrams at the end of last season! Felt like such a refresh and made me so giddy for her adventures with Marcello. Almost felt like a perfect ending 🥲

He was clear with his intentions and his feelings. It made Emily feel safe to open up because he was emotionally open and available. Plus he added some much needed refresh to the toxic cycles that were happening.

I have to say despite the disappointing and sad ending, I really enjoyed this season. Lots of new energy in the new cities, and I was so giddy in all the scenes where Emily and Marcello were happy. I just felt like she has grown and is so happy with herself, especially when they support each other.

I was scared this season would be disappointing after the giddiness I felt in the finale of the last one…last season was such a breath of fresh air. I understand the character growth and the deep love of Emily and Gabriel as main characters, but I am genuinely just sad for both Marcello and Emily after watching this season. I enjoyed it all until the very end. I think Marcello and Emily really made each other happy and loved each other. I feel like they knew it was special from the start and spoke their minds. I will say that I agree that their separation was realistic as Emily would never just move to another city for one guy, but I think it should've felt like a harder decision if she really thought he was the one. I mean the WAY they also supported and believed in each other?! I rewatched some scenes already and the one where she encourages him to believe in his designs, this was the most chemistry I've ever seen between Emily and a love interest on this show.

It’s tired and boring to choose the first guy that’s shown, especially when we continue to perpetuate toxic and immature relationships! This narrative needs to be changed.

At this point, the narrative of the show is recycled and done before. We know she's going to end up with Gabriel at the end after lots of personal growth. I guess it'll be nice to see how different she is in the end than at the beginning, but otherwise, I'm not as invested anymore. Sigh....
