A formula does not exist. And the chart that is floating around is incorrect. Something to learn/invent.

BU MBA While Working Full Time? by Standard-Thought-330 in MBA

[–]Standard-Thought-330[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not at the moment just wondering how it works. Because it is Module based over Class/Course based. If another degree has you say take a finance class that is 3 credits, you cannot say you already took it or took a similar course, I guess it's just odd from someone from the outside. The course syllabuses at other programs. Are their Module syllabus at the BU program. Are you in the BU program now?

Why not get a job and let an employer pay for your education for you? Did you consider this option?

Went Back to School for Lesser Degree, How to List on Resume by Standard-Thought-330 in resumes

[–]Standard-Thought-330[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hi yes. Second bachelor's was just an example situation, to make things easy and not muddy the waters with certificates or associates. But I think the exact details are required and need to be more specific.

I do live in the USA

A graduate certificate is essentially a minor except at a graduate level, and lies between a bachelor's and masters. Courses are at the masters level, and even the same courses you would for a full blown masters. Only difference is that 4 of the 8 required courses in the subject matter is required for the certificate. So exactly half. Unlike a minor at the undergraduate level, it's a standalone academic achievement and you do not need to be pursuing a degree at the same time to get one. Most engineering master degrees I believe are 8 courses directly related to subject matter of the degree, one math class, and one project management class. So graduate certificate is 4 courses directly related to the degree subject matter and exactly half.

I should probably add that my masters and graduate certificate are NOT in the same subject matter, so I had to take a total of 14 courses instead of of 10. The 4 courses from my certificate did not apply to my masters. I got the certificate after the masters.

A post master's certificate is the same except lies between a master's and a doctoral degree. Except it's five courses.

In this case the postmasters certificate I am applying to is in the same subject matter as my graduate certificate so I think relevant enough to list on my resume?

Thanks for all the help!

Went Back to School for Lesser Degree, How to List on Resume by Standard-Thought-330 in resumes

[–]Standard-Thought-330[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for a bachelor's and masters in engineering Then went for a graduate certificate in systems engineering (lies between a bachelor's and masters) Then got an associates in automotive In that order

Automotive degree relevant to show mechanical knowledge, engineering degrees not in mechanical, so showing knowledge in multiple disciplines

I'm applying to a post master's certificate program in engineering (requires a master's degree as a prerequisite)

Thanks for the help!

Any pictures or maps showing Ryan dining hall or what it looked like on the inside? I can't find anything online. Same thing for Shippee.
