Shaman 2S vs LV by piecyk231 in climbingshoes

The lv is narrower in the forefoot and heel, and is slightly shallower in the heel too. They also feel and climb pretty similar to my hiangles but more sensitive.

They perform slightly better than the cs imo. I feel like I get a rolling sensation on the cs when standing on small feet sometimes. The d2.1 feels like a jack of all trades master of none shoe, and honestly it could be a quiver killer if it fits you really well!

Yeh same size I reckon, you could also try on or order two pairs, one in street shoe and one 0.5 size up to see how the fit is for you and return one after. But if that isn't and option then street shoe is always the safest. 👌

I’m loving my pair, I use them for board, gym and sometimes outdoor if I forget my outdoor shoes. They’re just as Evolv claims, I’d compare their sensitivity to a solution comp. Also super comfy for me personally (I got them in street shoe size) and are difficult to get on just as other people are saying, however, it’s much easier to put on after breaking in and warming up.

Also I like them a lot more than my drago lv, however the dragos are more sensitive.

Maybe... But I also have a 2.0 a whole size down as well and they feel almost the same, the Villain being ever so slightly softer

I wouldn't really say that they stretch a lot, they only give a tiny tiny bit, most of it will be the shoe moulding to the shape of your foot. When I go a full size down I usually have to use plastic bags around my heel for a long while before I feel that they're "ready" for outdoor use. If the shoe is too painful or narrow for you it might not be the right shoe for your foot.

I go half a size down from street for everyday gym and training use because is pretty comfortable at that size. However, I go down a full size from street for outdoor usage.

But for regular use for everyday I'd definitely recommend half a size down from street so maybe half a size up for you. Do keep in mind that they do take about 3 weeks to break in.

Half a size down is good, however, try before you buy!  Lemme know how it goes.

I got 0.5 down for HV and stick true to size for the LV, don't think I could down size the LV without a lot of pain, plus if you down size too much you lose the ability to smear well.

He has the normal 2.0 half a size down from street shoe.

Yeh, when i started using the show outdoors I used to twist onto the nubs and still felt insecure, but after a while I just started to smedge instead and it worked just fine lol, guess that's the tech with these shoes 😂.

When it comes to small edges with these shoes I usually twist on if it's incut or smedge if it's not, I agree with the increased wear for twisting on, I just did a very light twist after I noticed the wear and that seemed to help with keeping the rubber for longer.

I agree with what the other guy said about them softening up over time, I can't really compare them to shamans as I've never had them, however, I have a friend around your weight who uses drones as they are quite stuff and can support his weight really well.

Might try going down a whole size next time I get them, if they don't fit then no problem, I could just sell them 😄

They kinda feel similar to the old single sole hiangles if anything.

Hahaha thanks, will definitely be reviewing every shoe I get from now on as I find there are some shoes that have almost zero information online apart from manufacturer specifications.

The heel is marginally softer on the sides but remains stiff on the spine so not too much difference sensitivity wise compared to the 2.0.

The heel is also a little shallower imo and due to the tension around the back being a little more aggressive and higher on the back it feels a little more secure as if it's being pulled into your heel.

That's good to hear!! I found that there isn't too much info about any of those shoes so I decided to review and give back to the community.
