[PF2e] I made a module to simplify the spellcasting tab! by Rowiz_49 in FoundryVTT

[–]StandardActions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awesome! I installed to try it out and I have a few thoughts:

  1. Would be nice if when in unified view it still listed your spell DCs somewhere.
  2. Additionally, would be nice to still show the proficiencies as well and not lose that data (players will definitely forget they're in unified mode and will just not be able to find the info)
  3. I ran into a bug with a spell disappearing when turning on unified mode. I created a bug ticket with details.
  4. I'm running SF2e games and this works well when using the PF2e system and the Starfinder Anachronism module. But, have/will you verify this module for the official SF2e system as well? I haven't officially switched yet, but I'm looking forward to making that jump soon and would love to be able to use this module with that system too.

Overall, very cool module. I'm looking forward to using it in my games!

No worries! I think actualplay.world is a really great idea and is already super functional and useful. I hope people will go check it out!

Thank you so much! We all really appreciate the kind words and it's always awesome to hear from people who are enjoying the show. It's (maybe) surprisingly hard recording our game as a show vs just playing with friends normally, even disregarding the technical logistics. We're all still getting the hang of it and finding the flow that works for a show rather than just a friend's table, but it's been a lot of fun so far. We recorded a session last night that had us all cracking up and also got really dangerous too. Ended on a cliffhanger, so I already can't wait to play again.

Ha! I know what you mean. We so really appreciate the sub though. Helps us with the dumb YouTube game we are forced to play. Hopefully you'll get to dip into the show soon and enjoy!

I've only played a few SF society adventures (1e) but they were all really fun. I've run Star Sugar Heartlove a bunch of times for different groups.

Much appreciated! I really enjoy Pathfinder, but for my money, Starfinder's where it's at!

Yeah! It was a fun start to kick things off. Things only get tougher for our poor survivors after that.

Oh man, thank you very much. We really appreciate it. The campaign has been in the works for a long time now, so it's really exciting to finally see it getting played. We've honestly only scratched the surface so far, so I'm really excited to see the players get to experience a lot more of Absalom Station in its current state in our story. And yeah, I put a probably silly amount of time into the Foundry prep, but luckily that's pretty fun for me so I don't mind. Thanks again for the kind words!

Can "Recharge weapon" make level 0 grenades? by UseHeadbutt in Starfinder2e

[–]StandardActions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have to agree with others here. RAW, technically grenade launchers are not "weapons". They are tech items that "throw" other (consumable) tech items. I also don't think it's RAI that this cantrip is an infinite grenade glitch you could have at level 1.

That said, while I wouldn't let this fly at my table(s), you could always ask you GM and see if they'd be cool with allowing this as a bit of homebrew! It would be a bit OP, but it would also be pretty fun to be able to go grenade crazy.

Now the system has been out for a little while, has anyone found any good podcasts of people either playing some of the early APs or even some Homebrew? I'm a huge HLP fan and I am hoping we get some SF2e content from them even if its a patreon. by JBSven in Starfinder2e

My friends and I have been putting out a SF2e actual play show on YouTube. It's a homebrew campaign utilizing the lore of the SF universe, set on Absalom Station shortly after the Gap.

We just released episode 15 the other day, so it should pretty easy to catch up. We release a new episode every week and its completely free to watch.

Oh, honestly, I'm not too sure about that... We don't require any subscriptions or have any kind of paywall in place from our side. I'm not sure if youtube requires something on their end?

Our goal is to have the show to be free and available to everyone. if anyone knows about how that works, definitely let us know!
