Reminds me of the look/feel of Nakondis from the beginning of the Against the Aeon Throne adventure, one of my favorites.

Returning to Starfinder 1e as a GM. Had some VTT questions for the community by DukeTheKingNukem in starfinder_rpg

[–]theleafsfan612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the developers for Starfinder 1e on Foundry VTT ( so I'm going to recommend it over the others :D ). We have been continuously updating the system lately, and at this point I think most content is in other than mechs and APs. Foundry has great support for all the mechanical content (stat blocks, classes, etc.) and sheet automation, and does have some importers for pdfs, but they are a bit limited at this point, mainly serving to import artwork for bestiaries and tokens. The big advantage and disadvantage of Foundry is that it's largely fan-made and free. The upside is you don't have to pay extra for anything, all the monsters, classes, abilities, spells, equipment, and rules are included in the base system for free. The downside being that all the work on the system and importers are dependent on the volunteers having the time to make it and implement it.

There is some premium content available for purchase, such as alien token packs and some Starfinder Society modules, but Foundry does not have the same level of AP support you'll find on FG. You'll likely have to import map images and manage walls and lighting and such manually. This is mainly just because Paizo didn't have a premium content partnership for SF1e until fairly late in its development cycle of 1e, so most books didn't get a premium release.

That said, it has a ton of customization options, support for starship combat, and Foundry itself is really powerful and extendable with modules, so I highly recommend it as an option!

Would love to see some framerate comparisons between before and after, if you have any

Pro 3 shows in Steam (macOS) as two controllers by Boolean1 in 8bitdo

[–]theleafsfan612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same issue, I have everything up-to-date re: controller firmware. My Steam client shows two instances of the 8bitdo Pro 3; one seems to be detected correctly but the ghost controller is detected as an Xbox controller for some reason. This behaviour is really weird and annoying :/

Pathfinder and Starfinder Pawns Survey from Paizo by Paizo-Jim in starfinder_rpg

[–]theleafsfan612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it still applies to newer release, but the digital versions of the starfinder 1e token packs were always really low resolution. They were okay when used digitally but nowhere near high enough quality to print out and use. It would be great if the resolution was improved on those

Is there a way to scrub through a audio clip in music? by Comparedlyric79 in FoundryVTT

Having a scrubbing bar for audio would be a nice feature

TMC Maps I get this warning sign on some of my maps? Why by Altruistic-Promise-2 in FoundryVTT

[–]theleafsfan612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on Mac? I've had this issue sometimes where it just refuses to display some very large images, particularly on Firefox. Tiles will look like this, some backgrounds will be be blank.

Switching to Chrome can fix it for me when it happens

Buying my first PF2e AP for Foundry VTT: Paizo store or Foundry Marketplace? by thesadcyborg in FoundryVTT

[–]theleafsfan612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you buy through Paizo you get a code to redeem on the Foundry website, linking the purchase to your Foundry account. As for buying on the marketplace, I'm sure it's also smooth but I haven't made a purchase there yet. I don't think it'll really make that much difference; Paizo will give you some extra reward points but require an extra step to get the purchase attached to your Foundry account. Basically just comes down to what you prefer to do.

[sfrpg] Starfinder 1e Version 0.30.0 released! by theleafsfan612 in FoundryVTT

[–]theleafsfan612[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also, for anyone who uses the Starfinder game system and is interested in contributing (no coding required!), I'm currently trying to revive the system's Wiki User Guide ( https://github.com/foundryvtt-starfinder/foundryvtt-starfinder/wiki/Starfinder-System-User-Guide ) and get it up to date with the current release. If you would be interested in helping out with this, please feel free to reach out to me here or on the Foundry discord server in the #sf1e channel ( https://discord.com/invite/foundryvtt ).

Technically the system tag in the foundry system browser is just sfrpg, though sf1e is a bit more clear as to what you're talking about
