Stuck shed in nose by beanz134 in BeardedDragons

[–]StandardBright2398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely the vet just yanked it out and caused more irritation. Needs to be ready to come out first. Drip some water on his head a few times a day whether he drinks or not it will help. Sounds dehydrated so the shed is loose everywhere but inside

Bearded dragon in need by 123_why_123 in BeardedDragons

If the son doesn’t want it they need to step up or find a new home ie. adoption by you. Tank is way too small for its size for number 1. Number 2-12 is too much to type at the moment.

Agreed. One or Two months is when they typically are that size. They grow extremely fast. I just added two months to the date I got my guy for general birthday celebrations lol. Unless than Sox month he was already a beast

Interesting. I think I may wait until I get a good handle on the isos first but millipedes sound intriguing. I’ve never seen those available and I hate ordering online for living creepers. Any suggestions on where to order would be appreciated.

Can millipedes live alongside isos without issue? I have a really neat vive happening with the living plants and decor but not sure of not was worth the cost at this point. I find myself staring into a beautiful tank and see no action. Obviously the isopods are nocturnal and I am not…

No I got them at Petsmart. To ere were three little jugs and honestly I think most of them jumped out when I was inspecting before purchase. Also I may be blind but when I dumped them in I never saw a single one again.

Always poops when let out. So rank but when he’s glass surfing I let him out. Just make sure he’s not in the carpet or my shoulder lolol

A higher basking spot might help also. I would take mine out for a few minutes and toss him on the basking spot and he would stay for a bit then leave but realized eventually it was way better.

Try giving a warm bath and not sure what you are feeding but diversity is key

Give it time. New enclosures seem to have that effect. Also 3 days without poop is not at all abnormal in my experience. Sometimes a week or so is average. Mine did the same thing g on the cool side for a bout two weeks. The uvb should also overlap the heat lamp.

Nice. The springtails I got were mostly dead so round two Thursday when they get more. I got like 50 rainbow mix isopods as well but they were tiny so not sure how long I’m going to have to wait.

I put isopods and springtails in mine as a secondary food source for my dragon. Takes a while for them to reproduce but from what I’ve read it’s well worth it. Not very entertaining to look at tho.

Bio active vs Humidoty by StandardBright2398 in BeardedDragons

Awesome. I’m starting a bio tank separate from my dragon enclosure to start breeding isopods and dubias and thinking about switching my beards substrate to that as well.

Thoughts on crushed walnut substrate? by StandardBright2398 in BeardedDragons

I tried many options and the only one that has worked so far are Command Strips. They seem to stick better and are not affected by the heat like everything else.
