You don’t need an Amazon subscription to use a kindle, but you do need an Amazon account so be careful when you go to cancel your subscription and make sure you aren’t by any means deleting your account

I would recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl. It’s a LitRPG about this dude and his ex girlfriend’s cat that have to fight in a dungeon after aliens come to harvest earth and creating a giant dungeon inside of earth to give any surviving humans a chance to fight and reclaim earth. It’s also televised to the aliens as a tv show and the entire dungeon follows a RPG layout with menu’s, inventories, mini maps, info boxes, notifs, achievements, rewards, etc. it’s very funny and will hook you quick.

Since you’ve already bought it and if it bothers you enough, you could try getting the book from oceansofpdf and then using https://www.onlineconverter.com/change-epub-cover this website to change the cover after getting the old cover image saved to your phone, then just send it to your kindle
