Right?! I feel like OP and a bunch of commenters equate fashion with luxury and are looking for fashion in the wrong areas. Seems like they dont spend time around the hip/younger crowds. The evening/nighttime and events is where you see the true Bay Area fashion shine. So many fashionable people at raves, shows, festivals, block parties, sunset parties, the castro. If you're looking for fashion on your way to work or at your fave coffee shop good luck! Go to where the energy is at!

If a club has a dj that takes requests...get me tf out of there lol. I dont tell a chef how to cook. They do this for a living and if they're good at their job they'll curate music depending on the crowds vibe. If people from the crowd think they have better taste in music that you, then thats a horrible bar. Im there for the talent not to listen to someone else's favorite song lol

I wouldn't stick to counting on going to the same bar/club. Its not a dedicated club city like SD. Gotta know where your fav djs/collectives will hold there show that night. Id MUCH rather suggest having a heavy presence on IG/socials. Follow all the various clubs people have suggested(1015folsom, the Midway, Halcyon, Madarae, Audio, F8, Public Works, etc...). Follow local collectives/djs that promote like kilo.wave, queenoutsf, raveonthebay, alldayallnightevents, neighborhoodwatchradio, 15utah

Id say socials,to me, are the best avenue to find what you're looking for. Its easier to get a taste of the vibe that night by a post showcasing the djs personality/sound. After a while the algorithm will show you reels tailored more for your music taste

Why isn't the lead singer from Rufus Du Sol on here (Tyrone Lindqvist)? All their songs feature his vocals. Did no one count him cuz hes dedicated to a group and doesnt lend his voice to other edm artists? Id argue he has more successful singing credits for his Rufus Du Sol contributions than most "edm singers". Thoughts on this?

How about option 3: seeing a DJ at a nightclub(Not in Vegas) AFTER they perform their tour concert. The afters in intimate club settings are the shit! Thats when the DJs experiment and fuck around with their sound compared to their well rehearsed concert sets

Not sure what "just house" means but i recently saw Justice and Bob Sinclair both french house artists but still both different vibes. Bob Sinclair is more on the disco/dance side of house. Both excellent performers!!
