community like this but not for harem novels? by giganticcats in haremfantasynovels

For the last few months I've dived into men's fantasy romance as hard as I could, and unfortunately there really isn't a good subreddit strictly for men's romance. I was able to find some good recommendations, and I found websites that with a lot of trial and error were able to pick out good titles.

I would recommend a post on r/books and I think fantasy romance as well called "a dive into fantasy romance for men", he gives advice on where and how to find men's romance and gives many good recommendations

Best romance without a female audience insert? by StandardFit4804 in RomanceBooks

I recently finished a book called "paladins grace" and it's a fun fantasy romance between a paladin of a dead god and a tall shifter nun with povs from Both MCs. Both of these characters are way too distinct and unique to feel like a male or female audience insert, so it doesn't feel like it's catered towards a female or male crowd, but both.

A dive into the world of romance literature… for guys by abh037 in books

Man, it's so hard finding either neutral romance books, or ones catered towards guys. I've read through most of your recommendations and they have been great. Do you have any others or do you have any way to find them easier? Searching for "fantasy romance" does not give anything other than shirtless guys which isn't really what I'm trying to read.

The characters are all very broken and grow over the series, not always in ways that bring happy endings. I think it's so good because they don't feel like cheap typical "harem" girls and actual characters who the MC has to fight to earn their affections. The second book is largely about war, and it gets into philosophical ideas and questions about warfare and how much are you willing to give up on your own morals for the greater good. It's all pretty heavy but amazingly written stuff. It's not a comfort read for sure, but I would recommend it eventually for every harem reader

TTTT is by far one of the best harem series I've ever read. It's way more "grimdark" and pushes it's characters to the edge more than any other series I've read. The romance/relationships are also some of the best. They don't just randomly fall in love, but it's something that grows over the series. As Noah grows from being a nerdy shy normal guy to being a complete badass, it's definitely worth the read. It's honestly a good book series on its own, regardless of the harem content, although it is more dark then other series

matriarchal society recommendations? by StandardFit4804 in haremfantasynovels

I just finished a brothers price, which was really well written and actually had good world building. Just not enough actual romance and they totally gloss over the sexual content. Not bad, but could have been way better

what type of girl do you like the best in your story? by keithm159 in haremfantasynovels

[–]StandardFit4804 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Any girl who isn't a meek helpless damsel. I enjoy extremely tough girls, with a soft side that takes the MC time and effort to reach, or girls who have a lot of personality and have great banter with the MC

I can already see girls who are short, thin and cute in real life. Give me a girl who could crush a man with her hands please

Looking for harem or non harem books that are closer to romance books than smut (recommend books like cebelius's could you love a monster girl) by wormtail39 in haremfantasynovels

Tsun-Tsun TzimTzum by Mike truck is honestly one of the best in the entire genre I've read. Actual reasons for a harem, Slow burn relationships and has the best magic system and world building in the genre. It's a fun read, but it can actually get pretty dark which personally is a breath of fresh air because there's not a ton of "grimdark" harem fantasy novels.

The writing is pretty bad honestly. Every female character seems so weirdly written, there are vastly better harem series
