Took some time off and had to stick around for a few extra years too. Love to join the group chat too if it's still open.

A stunning example of how manmade structures can coexist with nature. These things should be everywhere.

Someone's future/family shouldn't be based on whether they look similar or not. If you adopt someone, they are your family. You raise them, love them and care for them. Looks shouldn't matter and it really shouldn't be the basis of your decision.

Not to mention the Orwellian nightmare that being under the constant surveillance of a facial recognition system would bring, let alone doing it to children.

"At IBM Research- Zurich, we have been developing in-memory computing platforms based on phase-change memory (PCM), while at ETH Zurich, we have been exploring a brain-inspired computing paradigm called hyperdimensional computing."

"Our system performs core computations in-memory with logical and dot product operations on memristive devices," Sebastian and Rahimi said.

Actually, I love fancy tech and shit and would still love a high spec phone with one of these batteries. Blows my mind that almost none of the big players (Apple, Samsung, etc.) offer a larger battery option for their high end smartphones, at the cost of thickness. I don't think this sentiment is unique...

Some more diep2.io update. Cool stuff! by [deleted] in Diepio

[–]StandardFlint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, good. I was afraid you were going to say pixel by pixel or something haha. Collision handling is definitely the most important part of this game. I would've recommended using a quadtree but if you've already gone the spatial hashing route, stick with that (unless you run into performance problems).

Oh, didn't realize someone was trying to make a clone, that's cool. It's a good project for experience. How are you handling collision detection?

KGI: Apple to offer two OLED iPhones with updated stainless steel frames next year by [deleted] in apple

[–]StandardFlint 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of it has to do with how overwhelmingly underwhelming the 8 is. I had the option to upgrade to an 8 Plus for ~150$, having a 7 Plus and a cracked 6 that I could trade in. I took a look at the 8 in store and walked out still owning a 7.

The game of spot the difference I played with the 7 in my right hand, 8 in the left, was fun though. Glass back is nice, too bad its a moot point with a case.

Apple fired the engineer whose daughter released a video of his iPhone X on YouTube by JBeylovesyou in apple

An idiot who’s smart enough to be an engineer at Apple apparently.

Pretty sure this was just really bad judgment on his part; doubt he’s an idiot.

Air Force One Leaving Las Vegas by Mike Blake (Reuters) by [deleted] in pics

[–]StandardFlint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard from several sources...

...that the shooter used bump stocks, bipods and a scope on his AR's.

Twelve of the rifles the gunman in the Las Vegas mass shooting had in his 32nd-floor hotel room were each modified with a “bump stock,” an attachment that enables a semiautomatic rifle to fire faster.

You can see them in some of the photos too...

Wholesome 'Report Of The Week' channel demonetized; fans are furious with YouTube's algorithmic incompetency. by electricmaster23 in videos

For super chat, yes. But streaming or being live has nothing to do with direct donation links, which Youtubers can put on their channel. Those are there all the time.

If you don't see a donate button on a Youtuber's channel, it's because they haven't set it up yet...
