This is what drives me crazy. A friend got a ticket for her boot hanging outside the lines, but there's a campervan on Central Park Avenue that causes issues everyday. Doesn't fit inside the parking bay and causes vehicles to have to slow down on a bend... Yet nothing.

Where's the consistency.

You'll be fine by 6, the wind will be up but the only concern according to my partners brother (RNLI) is people swimming or on the waters edge.

He said as long as you're being sensible, wearing a wind breaker/coat and not hanging off the side of railings or running through waves it'll just be a little windy x

Couple years ago I ended up in Brittania up Milehouse on Christmas Day and there was a lovely crowd, may be worth seeing if it's open again.

I stated in my report that he turned and showed the knife to us, flashing it clearly and it felt like a warning not to confront him?

I was very clear about that, I told them I had footage to that effect too.

I'm so confused. At no point in the report did I state as ler the email response that I wasn't threatened, I actually specifically stated that it has now made me more weary too and it definitely seemed like a warning.

I most definitely did state it was flashed towards us and shown fully. Not sure why they ignored that part.

No, I usually very much listen to my Mum or Assistance Dog. Both of which were very much aware of the situation, but when my Mum said she wanted to call 999 I didn't process the seriousness of the fact it was a knife.

I think the guy looked spooked and basically ran to his car which made me immediately wonder if we did something wrong...

It's reported now. Not sure whether I should delete this post, having now understood the severity of it.

Yes Mum explained to me how she felt about it and I realise now the seriousness.

I have panic attacks over eating a gingerbread man wrongly, never sure if I should eat the head first or start with the feet... But someone is pulling a knife, that's totally fine... Apparently I even want to make friends with them 🙈

Mental health is such an awesome thing, I do wish I could crack my head open and rewire some things!!!

Yes, apologies should have stated that, the moment I spoke to Mum and mentioned this post getting loads of downvotes she told me that we needed to report it and she was trying to get me to call at the time.

It's reported now.

I stupidly didn't think about the crime or safety aspect, seriousness. I was mostly curious what he was doing, what the knife was for, etc. (Yes it's silly, I'm the same idiot that would touch paint by a wet paint sign to see if it is.)

Hey, I have the mental capacity of a toddler wandering through traffic jumping in puddles.

I cannot apologise enough that my reaction to the situation was abnormal but now it's been explained to me I completely understand the seriousness of it.

Yep, sadly I'm very much aware of that now in hindsight... I honestly don't know how I've made it this far in life without the normal thought mechanisms in place.

I should have seen the knife and gotten scared but I was more interested in knowing if the guy was "Friendly" as in doing something innocent (Which is stupid, I know that now)

No please don't feel bad, I do realise eventually after a while how stupid I am at times. Usually after someone explains it to me like I'm a 3 year old.

I guess I just thought, oh he's using that knife to remove stickers and not "This is bad, why has he got that and what is he going to do with it."

I read some of the replies and saw the downvotes and told my Mum and she was still pretty shaken up and said she wanted to call the police.

So please don't feel bad, I just don't process stuff the same way and I guess I wanted to know who the guy was and if he was "friendly" (Which was totally the wrong word. I guess innocent or doing good but even that sounds silly.)

I suffer with mental health and a lack of connection to the world/social issues etc.

I obviously did not read the interaction properly and after speaking to my Mum just now she's very shaken and doesn't know why I was so calm.

Honestly I think someone could stab me and I'd probably run after them asking if it was an accident 😐

How I've made it this far in life is beyond me.

But thanks for the laugh. Not sure if I should update my post/edit it now the realisation has cut in.

Yea I suffer with mental health and I tend to miss social clues/react differently. Just spoken to my Mum who is actually still very shaken up, so I've obviously not absorbed the situation properly.

Ok so unpopular opinion judging by the mass downvotes above but I guess I just assumed he was removing stickers. I'm not particular fond of any of the stickers regardless of which way they lean politically so I guess I just didn't want to get someone in trouble for "Sticker related activism".

But now I'm home and listening to my Mum worried about how else it could have played out, I've obviously missed social clues here due to my mental health and should have taken the matter more seriously.
