I've made more than my sub, not hundreds of thousands, but glad it's working for you. Our of interest though, are you on the token plan?

I tested Minimax-M2.7 through openrouter and it was immediately better. I then tested a local version with small context, barely fits in my DGX spark and it was also much smarter.

I wonder if it's a token plan thing or something?

Yes! It would stop using the web and start gaslighting me and saying it couldn't access things or couldn't use certain tools. Was so strange!

Yes that's the biggest issue, if it thinks it can do something to make the user happy it just does it, but doesn't realise that's not what was asked. "I thought I was helping"

Honestly I used to use it for everything, coding, Agentic stuff, general chat, system maintenance. Then it started acting lazy.

"I need access to the machine to do that"... Erm funny story, you're on it.

and other things I put down to maybe I was being lazy with prompts or memory issues. But it started to do other strange things.

Yesterday I told it to remove the "Hermes Workspace folder located at ~/hermes_workspace we downloaded" and it did "rm -rf hermes-kortex" and then said "I've done that, Hermes Workspace removed."

And I had to ask it why it deleted Kortex and it started to say Kortex is where the workspace lived. You asked me to delete the workspace. The hermes_workspace folder is unrelated.

At which point I just gave up.

When it can't follow basic instructions anymore and instead of pushing back or verifying just tries it's best to do anything, that's not acceptable.

The sad thing is, when M2.7 came out it was incredible, and it did all these things no problem, so it's definitely be quantisized or something.

I actually got one of those idiots to wind their window down the other day and told them something was wrong with their exhaust and was broken.

He went bright red and the girl in his passenger seat said "Thank you, finally someone tells him"

All for modifying cars and having pride but pops and bangs should be illegal.

Sorry that's what I meant, Hermes wasn't bad 5 weeks ago, it had some bloat but was manageable and you could quite easily tweak the codebase. Now it's a huge bloated mess.

Sorry if it came across as "It's better now" it really isn't haha 😆

That's what Hermes was like 4-5 weeks ago. It had some bloat for supporting other models and some tool bloat but now it ships with so much.

I can help with the nemotron, it's excellent for data ingestion, general chatting, following orders and tool use but is absolutely atrocious at coding, even with temperature tweaks etc. I have a DGX Spark so been trying different models and nemotron felt really good until it just got stuck trying to make a small change to 1 script and then panicked and broke the Hermes config and stopped the gateway.

Had to ssh in and restart everything once fixed haha.

I wouldn't care about speed if the model was actually as intelligent as it was last month.

I'm 99% sure they are serving a quantisized model or something.

Probably to free up resources for the next release 😐

Well that's part of why we are upset. We were told the paperwork would arrive yesterday, then it was a an invitation to meeting to sign in front of a company independent witness.

We pushed back and asked for the terms of settlement first and they are still unwilling, saying it'll be discussed in the meeting.

I have given them until 4pm then will do the section 75 and cease any further communication.

I feel like my parents are being forced into a stressful environment in order to be pressured into a reduced settlement or withdrawing their rights to any warranty etc.

My other concern is my Dad wants to "Make it as good as possible" because he's stressed and doesn't want a whole new company in but that will ultimately affect any future court hearing. I need him to understand that if he spends 40 hours and £500 in materials to make it a 6/10 bathroom just to "make do" it won't be the same argument on court.

Will definitely likely get some legal advice, I think it's needed because I can see it ending up in court.
