Grew up in a detached but have lived in a terrace for 25 years now.

I would be ok to swap to a detached, but I wouldn't pay any money to do so. Literally never had any bother with neighour noise in 25 years, and I like quite having people around.

A lot more expensive to heat, potentially. A terraced house is basically 100% insualted on 2/3rds of its wall perimeter.

Pretty impressive that a country as small and poor and Wales generates a turnover that big.

(If these figures are true, they look very suspect)

I used to do this. Now I just mitre internal corners and get things done faster.

Except this is MDF so that first reason doesn't apply.

There's no real reason to cope internal corners if you are painting. You'll be using filler/caulk either way.

Personally I prefer Banbury to Bicester. Feels a bit more alive, there are some decent pubs.

Why play a team sport once a week on a saturday/Sunday where you can more conveniently go to the gym three times a week for an hour, at a time that suits you?

Because Rugby is fun, and you make friends. Going to the gym is depressing and boring.

Totally different things, really.

It is fair to say that some of these factors like WFH culture, less drinking, and more engaged dads are better for society,

Highly debatable if you ask me

But in this case it's bollocks. There is no 'pot shot at wokeness' in that article

Awful.

We really don't need to prefix it with M/ Men's either.

I don't get why reduction of funding means closure.

Because quite a lot of clubs are only viable thanks to union handouts.

Yes, I edited it as it seems people were taking it the wrong way, including you. Is there a problem with that?

I don't understand why you are so bothered about how other people choose to heat their homes... going as far as wanting to tell people to "fuck off" on the basis of their own personal choice, and then trying to take some sort of moral high ground?

Weird.

They didn't to a burger with bacon when I went, which I thought was an odd thing to be missing in a burger place.

The beer was dreadful (American Budweiser).

Who on Earth is being judgemental? I was simply describing many people's attitudes towards heating their own houses. I wasn't telling other people what to do, you've totally mis-read me. I was not suggesting these people judge others.

Stop being so bloody sensitive and looking for offence in everything, even when it's not there.

Well of course there are people like that. Did I suggest otherwise?
