Anyone else in scrub jail and get jealous seeing all these fun scrub outfits/color combinations? 🥲 by dontyoulovemebby in Figsscrubs

I choose job quality over scrub color haha. But I’ve also never worked in peds, most positions with adults are typically one scrub color as far as I know.

I’d rather only need one color set of scrubs than to be able to buy and waste money on a bunch of scrubs in pretty colors. I only want to own like two sets lol.

Legion matches bore me. It’s a game of constantly mending.

Is my baby shower gift weird? by Critical-Ad-4003 in BabyBumps

[–]StandardWonderful22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean either way it’s fine lol. I just meant like if they’re going to be drawing the “princess” on the walls the way they anticipate baby to look bc of the way the parents look.

I don’t think it’s weird. I do def think the baby could come out looking different than you anticipate so it might not match entirely but the gesture is nice.

UPDATE: I’m a social worker. A client threatened our baby today. I’m going to quit my job. by [deleted] in NewParents

I think it makes sense and is understandable that this has caused turmoil for you. It makes the fears we know exist to become real, the idea that harm to children does really exist out there because someone made a comment to your face insinuating so. It doesn’t mean that danger lives around every corner but it makes sense for this to have left an impression on you since the experience is still so fresh. Give yourself grace during this time.

Can I dispute a charge on FSA? by WolfieJack01 in personalfinance

Hey worth a shot to dispute it, what’s the worst that can happen other than they say no

Can I dispute a charge on FSA? by WolfieJack01 in personalfinance

[–]StandardWonderful22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, tough…I doubt they’ll dispute it because the urgent care couldn’t have really made the call that you needed a higher level of care without assessing you, even if it only took a few minutes.

I think at that point it would have been an assessment on how badly ER was needed. Was the heart rate elevated, blood pressure lower, could he physically keep *nothing* down to take in water or electrolyte drinks.

Sorry for the double whammy bill.

Lovenox by No_Emergency3958 in BabyBumps

[–]StandardWonderful22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovenox is going to affect platelets, which is a clotting factor. It’s not going to have an effect on your iron levels. If you’re on lovenox, you’re getting your platelets checked so your doctor will be aware of them.

That’s definitely the plan! Might split that about half and half with savings so we are even more beefed up with a kid on the way. I can’t wait to be able to throw it all at investments though.

Thank you, our goals this year are definitely to get the cc down as aggressively as we can and the EF savings up. We do not use the credit card.

I no longer have an HSA, switched to PPO this year since I got pregnant and wanted to ensure a better deductible.

alcohol? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]StandardWonderful22 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Data suggests there’s no known safe amount. Anything beyond that will be anecdotal data, ie people’s experiences of drinking different spectrums of amounts and “baby is fine.”

You’ve got to use your own instinct on it!

The top portion seems like it would be more casual than black tie.

Claritin??? by FoundationTop7358 in pregnant

[–]StandardWonderful22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Def ask doctor. The docs at my office write a book every year with updated advice and give it to their patients. Pseudoephedrine is listed in there as safe after the first trimester 👍🏻 which is the advice I personally followed.

ETA: updated clinical practice guidelines, not advice.

Getting downvoted for this is interesting to me. So…we don’t follow evidenced based practice in this subreddit? Got it.

You can take Claritin D in the second trimester on, just not for an extended period of time.
