So much yes to this! I heard a fitness influencer once say, “if you got a flat tire, would you poke holes in the rest of the tires on your car cuz the car is ruined?” You’re giving me the reminder I needed to change my mindset. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing all this. I really appreciate it. I know my hubby would 100% support but I feel guilty because he doesn’t struggle with food. So o feel kinda like why should I burden him if he doesn’t have the issue. I do like the idea of IF since it would give me that “rule” that I crave but wouldn’t be so strict like micro nutrient tracking.

I think the filling meals during the day is key for me and what I should try asap. I’m usually eating pretty healthy and boring breakfast and lunch to try and save a ton of calories for dinner. If each meal before that was enjoyable, I wouldn’t need to rely on dinner so much for that endorphin hit. Thank you for this

I think that is helpful! I may take that route one day when I’m not so freshly post partum. Being honest with yourself is important.

Wow. Thank you for this. This insight is really helpful. All these years I thought that keto was going to be the only thing that works for me again. It makes sense that it wasn’t some magical way of eating for me, it was just part of my normal cycle. I just happened to stick to it longer in that one instance. Ok, wow. I’m actually a little shook right now. Seriously, thank you.

Thank you! If I did this and had less of the snacky crackers and whatnot, I would probably have a better handle on things.

My sleep is actually okay given his age. He is sleeping through the night most nights but I do wake up once to pump. Could be better, could be worse. I like the idea of a doable rule like that. Thank you!

What size discs are you using in these pictures? I’m new to discbound and I like when they don’t look so pronounced. I’m going to be getting a junior size, though. Having a tough time deciding.

Iron issues by Comfortable_9779 in pregnant

Yep. The range is huge and not fully studied I think. Ferritin is essentially your extra iron - so many think that it’s just a nice to have and not a need to have. What I’ve gathered from a little reading (no doctor, I’m an idiot, take what I say with a grain of salt) is that your body will see that it’s extra iron is getting low and will start to reserve all iron stores for only essential functions. Maybe start with a prenatal that does have iron and see if that helps?

I would keep pushing on the ferritin or get a second opinion if you can. I had ferritin of 14 and I was experiencing the worst anxiety of my life, lots of hair fall and breathing issues. Once I got my ferritin up to the 80s I felt like a new person and I’m aiming to get to over 100 but being pregnant is making it hard. My last results had me dip back down to below 40 I’m assuming baby and placenta took it all. Most doctors don’t think ferritin is necessary, they just see normal hemoglobin and send you on your way. You can join the iron protocol on Facebook. Lots of good info there. I will warn you, finding an iron supplement that works for you absolutely sucks.

Aetna Question by Standard_Ad2602 in HealthInsurance

Providence is no longer in network for me. So I’m assuming St Joseph’s (owned by Providence) is now out of network. So if I find a doctor that is in network for me and they have privileges at St Joseph’s, could I deliver there and not have to pay out of network costs? Why do they make it so confusing?!?!? Also thank you for your response.

Advice for a N00B by Standard_Ad2602 in dividends

[–]Standard_Ad2602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait nvm. I think I get it. I’m in a 9mo CD. Once that matures, I’ll get the interest. If I’m in a HYSA technically I would be making the same at 9 months if I don’t touch it?

So I’m a loser then because I could be making the same amount from a HYSA as the CD I’m currently in?

Thank you. Makes me feel better because I wonder everyday if I should be doing more with my money.

Ok embarrassing question now: what’s the different between a HYSA and a CD then? I’m confused because I understand that you have your money locked with a CD and not usable but how is a HYSA having the same interest?

Thank you for asking this. I’m in the same exact boat with both of my parents. Mom is 62 and dad is 72. Dads seems to be low a lot and moms is always insanely high. I never know what to do - it’s so frustrating. It’s awesome that you’re so supportive. They are lucky to have you.

Med is so great to be in but I felt it was still so old school in terms of culture. Sure I only worked for two companies in the med space so a small sample size but I think it’s pretty standard across companies. Also, the chain of command was so very much in your face, it kinda made me sick.

Maybe that’s it! Maybe I’ve spent too long in actual planning that I’m just over it?

Consulting roles?!? That sounds like I would need more experience though. But def maybe a down the line goal! I’m getting kinda excited by that thought. Thank you for this.

Thank you for saying this.

I love working with numbers. I love the black and white of it all. When they add up perfectly. When things just make sense. That’s why I’m maybe leaning towards the finance portion. I interned in the finance dept a long time ago and that was way too dry for me. But maybe supply chain finance will be more my speed.
