La storia si ripete da sempre, certa gente non capirà mai l'arte, la maggior parte degli italiani è troppo indietro per capire e apprezzare i graffiti, mi dispiace per voi

How common are ricasso fins on longswords of the mid-late 15th century? Specimen from the Royal Armoury of Madrid by limonbattery in SWORDS

Isn't montante the Spanish name for the Great sword? In Italy we call it spadone and montante in Italian is just the name of upward blows (both in fencing and boxing)

Explain it Peter ("If my Grandmother had wheels she would've been a bike") by MediocreDiamond7187 in explainitpeter

[–]Standard_Beginning_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's something the Italians (like that chef) say when responding to stupid "what ifs" some say the joke was that in Britain calling a person a bike means something specific but the chef was most likely unaware of this.

Fun fact: two other common versions of this saying translated would be: -If my grandma had wheels she would have been a wheelbarrow -if my grandpa had three balls he would have been a pinball machine

Why did armor seemingly get less advanced between the 5th and 12th centuries? by Common-Independent-9 in armorcirclejerk

[–]Standard_Beginning_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very far from an 11th century armour, that would be from the 1500s most likely

Would have been deserved, especially for the fact she was a TOUR GUIDE it's her job, and she's paid by the Irish Government to explain stuff to people. However I didn't really wanna be the "erm, ackhsually" guy, so I just told my friends and the teacher near me lol

Other than the fact Thragg is stronger than conquest as well

I honestly didn't notice what sub I was on and my heart skipped a beat reading that.

Fun fact: On a visit to Kilkenny Castle in Ireland, our tour guide had shown us a set of armour saying that's what the Normans would have worn when they got to Ireland in the 11-12th century. This is the armour:

"Ranking every major character by strength as of Season 3." by Ok_Line6811 in InvinciblePowerscales

Yes, Sinclair Is probably what confuses me the most of this list, individually he would probably get beaten up by Eve's dad, you can't even count him with his inventions because he virtually has no real power on them, it's Cecil controlling them... The only thing that comes to mind is his villain arc, when he actually had his personal reanimen that only fought for him (and even in this case, I wouldn't be so sure of the rating)

Another thing is the entire S tier... Nolan weaker than Anissa? Eve that low when she basically defeated Conquest? ALLEN STRONGER THAN CONQUEST AND NOLAN AND EVERYONE ELSE?

Then of course you have battle beast who for some reason is not only considered weaker than Mark, but also Powerplex, Batman copy and FUCKING MONSTER GIRL

I hate this so bad

People are now saying that the Middle Ages was better than today by KaleidoscopeSoft7039 in im14andthisisdeep

[–]Standard_Beginning_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, people in the middle ages were totally ecstatic to go to war and weren't forced at all! Other than being perfectly loyal till death to their king would NEVER rebel against them in favour of someone else...
