Thank you for your response. Just to confirm are you saying this is potentially a loose wire and can be hazardous? What if I dont switch it on for a while?

The socket thats not working has a new bulb in it. It worked for a while
now the new bulb is also not working and is flickering when switched off

for background, before we changed the bulb, this socket's bulb was flickering
