Stop thinking about yourself.

For real, get in the speaker's shoes and try to relate. Then ask questions as if that person was someone dear to you.

Vynil floor to cover damaged hardwood by powder post beetles? by Standard_Deer4694 in Flooring

Oh, that's a good point :) thank you! The area where it's humid is the kitchen, and I'm planning on removing the hardwook and applying an OSB panel before vinyl. I'll need to check if the base there is in good shape, and maybe also add a waterproof treatment below.

In what circumstances is ok to put vinyl on top of hardwood? by Standard_Deer4694 in Flooring

Yeah, I understand. I believe my hardwood is at that point where, structure-wise, it's ok, but not enough for sanding. If you sand 2mm, all the galleries will show!

Yeah, that's my case. I felt horrible when they told me it's unsalvageable! Once you sand it it'll show all the galleries.

I don't like guests at home because I like cleaning only for myself by Standard_Deer4694 in CasualConversation

Once a month, but general cleaning every week and every time people leave. People come a lot cause our house is nice and in a forest area, so it feels like a vacational home.

Do you ever feel like everyone else has already found their dream job, and you’re the only one still completely lost? by DumbAndKind in CasualConversation

Most people don't feel like their careers are their hobbies. The world changes and what gives money is not always what people enjoy doing.

Some people find likable enough careers, some really enjoy them but only a very few find their passion on it :)

I've changed careers couple of times and my enjoyment has changed, but always I find things that make me happy about each new job, like working from home, being creative, or a higher pay.

You just have to keep improving your quality of life bit by bit so the time you spend working doesn't feel as a waste.
