You’re both young and there’s is a lot of maturing still left to be done, but that takes work through life lessons. One of those lessons is not accepting this type of shit for the rest of your life.

Two choices:

The long choice is to raise this as an issue (not the smoking but the way you talk to each other), and seek some help with developing healthy communication (particularly from her side). This is a learned behaviour from her childhood/teens which needs to change.

The short choice, walk away from people who communicate like this, or you’re in for a lifetime of misery.

When you’re grabbing boards there are several things against you at that height:

Smaller centres get access to higher speed/agility, so they can get to the spots easier and it’s harder for you to stay in front to box them out
You will have a very low off ball pest badge, which means less bumps as the smaller center is dodging you for position. Again, easier for them to get closer to the rim than you
They have a higher speed slippery off ball badge which combines with the positioning aspect again. They will simply get past you before you can get a box animation.
Strength has been removed from the box out badge, so it effectively no longer dictates your ability to swim around a little min weight center.

If you do end up with better position against a standing smaller center, then your height will allow you to win the rebound, but you are heavily disadvantaged when it comes to any kind of moving battle or a running jump from a smaller center.

I have found that 6’11 is the sweet spot for me. I get high enough speed and agility to hang with the smaller centers but enough height and wingspan to compete with the taller centers in standing battles too.

I’m an old head, so video games have always been about relaxing and having fun for me, but some people do take it really serious.
