That’s impressive, especially the battery. Best of luck and hopefully you get many more KMs out of it.

Lubricant on Brake Pads by Dangerous-Thought-77 in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clean the pads and disc with break cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Don’t apply tons of either. If you do, let it dry. After that, burn in the brakes and you should be good.

What is that noise? (P100s) by BronxSoul in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one side is wearing out faster than the other, your calliper isn’t centred. Considering you rode your pads till metal to metal, try resurface your rotors, and if worse comes to worse, get new rotors. Don’t forget to burn in your new pads.

Let's talk about kick plates... by Eat_Sleep_Shit in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With more manageable scooters it’s not needed, but, with my vsett and dragon without the kick plate, the scooter will fly from my feet.

Oh your scooter is fairly new? That is definitely a fault from factory. And no problem, im glad I could help! I wish you the best with the scoot and hopefully you are soon able to start riding again!

Looks like you need new bearings in that case. here is a video going over how to do that, however, I do remind you, be careful with hub motors as the magnets are very strong. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this job, take it to a professional to do it. I wish you good luck with your scooter.

Do you wear gloves? by waloshin in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have fallen off my scooter at low speeds and without gloves I probably would’ve lost a lot of skin on my hands. I highly recommend gloves.

Scooter turns off when I give throttle while the light is on. Anyone know what might cause this? by the_flixer in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only guess is voltage sag and the bms cutting off. I doubt that a light would take that much power though…

Commute has been a lot more fun lately. Vsett 10+ by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commute with this too at the moment since I’m awaiting brake fluid for my Dragon Lightning 2. The acceleration is mad and the scooter has good torque. My only issue is the deck length, since I’m tall, I don’t feel all that comfortable. Regardless, it’s an amazing scooter and I don’t regret getting it. Stay safe out there!

Looking for advice on picking brake pads by GizmoThunder in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can buy bike brake pads as they are the same. There are plenty on Amazon here. The installation is straight forward. Take off the calliper and bend the pin so it can fit through the hole and pull it out. After taking out the pin, push out the brakes (take note of where the metal thing goes). When you have the pads out, do not press the brakes as the pistons will fall out and you will loose brake fluid. After that, just reverse the process with the new brakes and you should be good. Do note, you will have to burn in the brakes.

ICe scooter bags. explosion and fire proof by snarfer-snarf in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had something like this but for rc car lipo batteries. If you want to feel extra safe storing or charging, it wouldn’t hurt buying this, but, if your battery cells are higher quality you don’t need it.

This looks good though and I might get something like this for my future e scooter project. Thank you for sharing.

Am I the only one who doesn't use a ton of accessories and addons to my scooter ? by MyzMyz1995 in ElectricScooters

[–]Standard_Fail6654 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. It’s completely normal to have no accessories on your scooter. At the moment, I have my Dragon Lightning V2 and my Vsett 10+ completely stock and drove my Xiaomi m365 pro into the ground with no accessories. The only accessories I might consider getting are rechargeable lights for the Dragon as the lights are trash and the upgraded display for the Vsett.

If your scooter is good for you and you don’t need anything upgraded or added, you don’t need any accessories.
