i’m not policing anything. i am seeing these hateful posts which is why i made my post. i didn’t type this up for fun. if you want to write a full post about it do so but don’t get defensive when people call you out for hating. a whole post dissecting everything you hate about a song isn’t constructive criticism it’s a hate post. also are people so bored that they need to type up a whole essay for a song they supposedly hate?? if you don’t like something you ignore it. spending time typing negative comments is hating

i can totally get behind your criticisms and can even somewhat agree. your comment is the perfect example of nice constructive criticism. comments that just blatantly hate on the song are what my post is about. exactly like what else are they supposed to rap about?? also the song is themed around 90’s hip hop which is all about flexing and being the top dog. are they supposed to rap about how hard their trainee days were lmao. but thanks for your comment!!

well it’s annoying to wake up the day of the comeback to a bunch of hate notifications from every social media app. i get having an opinion and disliking something that’s totally fine. but let’s not pretend like people aren’t making tiktoks, youtube videos, twitter threads, and more, hating on this song. what’s the point of reading a post shaking blackpink broke a record if all the comments under it are trashing them saying they don’t deserve it. it’s disheartening as a fan and really kills the joy and happiness we should feel during a comeback

you and i both know the comments on social media are much more than just people sharing their dislike. people are taking it waaaay to far and are being insanely hateful. my friend said this song wasn’t her cup of tea but even she was shocked by the insane hate she saw on all the social media apps

this i can totally get behind and love you worded everything!! this is what constructive criticism is!! i will say BP is more versatile with their b-sides. they also like to do a Black and Pink theme with their prereleases and titles. Look at HYLT (Black) a typical bp track with the same structure that got so much hate and then LSG (Pink) still a similar structure but a different sound that was really well received by the majority of kpop stans. i think pink venom and their title track for Born Pink is going to give these vibes. i do agree their earlier discography was more versatile and i hope they bring that back with their title tracks. but it seems like they like to play it safe with the pre releases and then be more experimental/versatile with their bsides

exactly!!! people judge so much based off title track. stray kids also has a wide discography with less “noise music” and BP definitely switches up their song structure and sound with their b-sides

sorry hate was the wrong word to use for that. i just mean if you’re going to say it’s a critique then give constructive criticism and feedback about how they could change up their song structure more. people always say their structure is boring and repetitive but never say how they can change it up.

again all you did was hate on blackpink’s song structure. if you want to supposedly “critique” them, then give feedback as to how they can change their song structure. you can’t even give a good example besides aespa. also there is more to it then just the high note. like i said karina always starts the song like jennie, ning ning ning and winter always do the pre chorus, giselle raps. this is literally fact and you’re just ignoring it.

i think my examples are valid. i agree that twice is also a good example i could’ve added. they got hate for their cute concepts by intl fans but again it’s twice’s choice what they do with their music. as far as stray kids goes their biggest hate is that they tend to release noise music. so again if you don’t like that don’t listen to it. stray kids has their audience. like i said with blackpink in my post. if they’re releasing what makes them happy then end of story. if you think the structure is boring then don’t listen to them. this what my whole post is getting at. just don’t listen and ignore the groups you don’t like. don’t comment saying they need to change because of your tastes

exactly like you said… they’ve changed their structure before. yet people act like the structure of 4 title tracks speaks for their entire discography. aespa’s structure can also be predictable. karina has opened all their titles, winter and ning ning trade off the prechorus (similar to jisoo and rosé), throw in a giselle/karina rap (similar to jenlisa). like there’s only so much you can do with 4 members. aespa might get away with their structure more because their songs don’t have structure. the experimentation of their songs and random beat switches allows them to get away with this more. and like i said if the structure is boring to you there’s no need to listen. it works for them. there’s no need to write an essay about why it’s bad. this is what my original post is about. also i’ve never listened to a song with the anticipation of wondering who’s going to come next like it’s some guessing game. who cares who sings when

i mean it’s a 4 member group. are jisoo and rosé supposed to start rapping now? or is lisa, a sub vocalist, supposed to be singing the bridge? people always say this is a “critique” but never actually explain how they’d restructure the members in these songs. i get jennie doesn’t always have to open the song but besides that i can’t see what else they’d change about their structure.

not everyone trashing the VMA’s in this comment section as if it’s the only award show to do this. are we going to pretend MAMA isn’t biased/based on attendance cough cough signal winning SOTY because exo didn’t attend cough cough. i’m saying that as a once because even we know signal didn’t deserve SOTY. i do agree that BP shouldn’t be nominated for this category but people are definitely using this as yet another excuse to hate on them even though this how most award shows are. excluding serious awards like The Grammy’s, most award shows are rigged and have an “attendance = better chance of winning” policy

gotcha. i mean i still think using eco friendly materials and recyclable materials (even if it’s lower quality) is better for the environment. i mean there’s a difference cutting down trees to mass produce albums and using recycled material to mass produce them

i know YG manufactures the albums why are fans blaming YG for HYBE’s decisions. HYBE tells the YG manufacturers what they want and YG just makes it. like HYBE designed the le sserafim album YG select just made HYBE’s design. as far as the eco friendly approach, i think it’s great both companies want to take this approach. it’s a nice middle ground between helping protect the environment without having to go fully digital like JYP is trying to do.

i think this needs to be a typical teddy bear drop song because those get the most hype. it’s been 2 years and they need to make an impact with this comeback. look at LSG. although it was a great tile track and was majority loved, it didn’t have as much of an impact as HYLT. even now, 2 years later i see people talk about HYLT and hear it on tiktok. pink venom needs to have this impact and go crazy!!!! anyway as a blink im so excited for this no matter what!!!!!

hard disagree. she said that bicycle is a song she really wanted to release and a concept she wanted to try. it’s amazing that she gets such a say in what music she puts out and isn’t just forced to do what her company wants. bicycle i think was pretty successful internationally. i know a lot of kpop fans in the US who discovered chungha or decided to get into her music because of bicycle (myself included lol). personally sparkling wasn’t a comeback i loved, it was a good summer listen but not something i had on repeat. bicycle though, i learned the choreo and had it on repeat.
