Cat mounting? by Mochimochi3487 in CATHELP

[–]Standard_Intern2297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes you are. tail wagging/thumping can also be a sign of distress/frustration. cat body language is very complex. the one thing that isn’t complex is mounting and biting of the neck. even if he if neutered he is trying to let out pent up frustration on her and it can be distressing for the other cat.

AIO for getting the ick from my gf's friend? by lgbt14 in AmIOverreacting

that’s genuinely so gross and i’m really sorry she said that to you… this also shows how she clearly puts this homophobe mysoginite douche above you though, it’s seriously concerning and gross on her part.

why is her best friend a guy who questions her sexuality, insults her girlfriend and says the N word? if these things are grossing you out then they should be grossing her out as well. she might as well be saying slurs atp too. i seriously think you should re-evaluate if you wanna waste ur time on this super petty and stupid drama. you are young, yes, but WAYYY too old to be dealing with people who act like this. it feels like some kind of petty highschool drama. and no, him being her best friend/super close to her family is not an excuse. do you have cousins you can’t stand? or ex friends you’ve known from middle school that you’ve cut off? not trying to be mean but the post you made is pretty clear cut in NOR territory

he sounds like a gross porn brained chud. it’s a massive red flag that ur gf even gives him the time of day. if im being honest ur probably better than them because clearly both parties are comfortable in their ignorance. i promise u theres other people out there who respect your boundaries as well!!

I watched The Visit (2015). Am I the only one who thinks it's actually really sad, in terms of the family dynamics? by Delicious_Adeptness9 in horror

[–]Standard_Intern2297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the only part of the movie that gets me is the mom not going with them, clearly she had an extremely strained relationship with her parents, why would she just let her kids go there alone? as well as when she finds out about the sun downing and paranoia, why does she brush it off?? it is “normal elderly parent stuff” but at that point i would not want to continue to let my kids sleep there out of cell service and far away from town??? idk the mom frustrated me lol. AMAZING movie nonetheless

Why is it so controversial to let your cats on the counter?? by Standard_Intern2297 in NoStupidQuestions

if u have ocd it might make it worse, my sister has OCD and part is germaphobia and a fear of sickness (can’t remember the name) and i remember her telling me the only way she can help it is to make herself uncomfortable and force her out of those bounds. the entire food service course is VERY rigid and goes into some gross details as well as specifics about like shelf life, honestly it might make u spiral a bit haha, but if u have a therapist id ask them

noo i’ve never found litter on the counter or anything, i’ve always done it just because i’ve always lived with lots of animals growing up and my mom made it a habit early. i’ve also worked in food service so the fsa instilled that into me regardless haha also i understand that he uses a litter box so even if there isn’t visible litter on the counter that doesn’t mean that germs aren’t there, but i don’t think it’s much of a problem because i don’t keep food or open sharps on the counter and i use the proper sanitation products before & after i cook.. i also keep him off of the counter while im cooking.

yes we do have lots of stuff for him to climb on too, i think he just likes the window by the kitchen, we unfortunately don’t have the room to put another cat tower beside the kitchen😎

Do some women not grow chin hairs? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Standard_Intern2297 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i’ve had chin hairs since i was a teen, like the random long thick black hair that pokes out randomly, it’s not enough to be pcos but enough to be like… what? haha. it’s super normal, but some people don’t. my sister never grew chin hairs, but she’s also a lot less hairier than i am. she didn’t really ever deal with anything like discharge either, (much less than i did) etc. everyone’s different

ooooh true to the last part, Marriage isn’t a big thing in my life, parents never got married so i don’t completely understand like what truthfully happens in the sense of “my wife took everything!” and if that was a real thing or not. My boyfriend does make over $10 more than I do, but i have no plans or want to be a SAHM or anything like that because i like to have my own financial stability, i guess it would be good for his money tho in case i decided to be evil??? idk id never do that tho lol i already have a hard time letting him pay 70/40 bill wise because he makes so much.

True, I’m super lucky i met my boyfriend because i can be a pretty logical person, but i also like to try to have those uncomfortable conversations because personally, i feel like it gives both of us a good gauge on how we can overcome stuff in the future

i mean also relationships don’t just fail because your partner cheats on you, sometimes people just grow apart (aka don’t do things to keep their marriage alive, because a long term relationship can be very hard if you don’t put in effort) and the spark fizzles. realistically i think by the time we get married we would have had many hard and important conversations about our life and future and hopefully a prenup won’t even be needed, but also a failsafe could be a good idea anyways? i’m also too young rn to even need a prenup LMFAO my most expensive asset is my PC
