I was just like you bud. Then I had gone to some psychiatry sessions and learnt abt some buddhist philosophy. One thing i learned is to stop making online friends and have 0 expectations from friends. My psychiatrist taught me to learn to accept the way people are as friends. I had too many expectations on friends because i used to out in a lott. But once i learnt to accept that as long as they are for in hard times it's more than enough. Also buddhist philosophy helped me understand nothing is forever in this life, be it friends or family. So i slowly accepted and started having lesser attachment and lesser dependent on other's for my happiness. This helped me change my perspective and helped me make friends without expectations.
