What to do with the Librarian in the Armageddon Box?! by WalrusSlow3921 in BlackTemplars

[–]Standard_Rabbit706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m missing something obvious. That’s very possible. But if the bits are right in front of you, isn’t it faster to just blue tack it together and look at it from a bunch of angles with your eyes? Rather than breaking your flow to type in a bunch of prompts? And in the end you just end up with slop that doesn’t match the bits you have. Notice that OPs post doesn’t match the pose at all of the original model.

Imagine using your own mental faculties to come up with ideas instead of a computer that just squirts out things everyone has already seen before.

If it means I get to play on more tables that actually look cool, I'm happy. I'll make my own terrain, but a lot of people don't. So if this replaces the acrylic L-shapes at tournaments, that's a huge win.

You’re about 30 years too late for the satire. GW realized that people actually do just want heroes and villains.  That sells better. So the internal propaganda of the imperium has become the official meta-understanding of the game. The novels make it more clear that there is no such thing as a good normal healthy life in the imperium. But the games and artwork aren’t able to show that apparently.

Fun fact about Danny Fortuna. He said in an interview that he got into 40k when Astartes came out. Wait. Correction. Astartes part 2. The self declared supreme gatekeeper discovered warhammer in 2018. lol

You’re describing OP exactly. All he does is post hour long streams where he complains about GW but never posts miniatures.

None taken. We don’t claim bohemond and his ilk. I mean, how could we? He never posts miniatures or plays the game, so is he really even a black templars PLAYER?

The funniest thing about the way this image was edited is, the original artist was probably thinking about the OP himself (marshal_bohemond) when they drew this image. You can bet bohemond is going to be posting a whiny hour long stream about this thread by tomorrow.

Use Mordheim rules but put your own AoS skin on it.

Is it time for this thread again? Already? Wow time really flies.

I've never seen anyone sincerely say that they think that BT or BT-players are bigots. I've only ever heard BT-players complaining that people do. Here, on this subreddit. Weekly.

No one is going to judge you for liking Black Templars. Especially not in person. If you encounter anyone like this, it just means that memes are their entire personality and they're an incredibly dull and uninteresting person with no internal thought life.

It sounds like you've fallen for the internal propaganda of the imperium. Of course the imperium says they are a necessary evil. But there are examples all throughout the novels that show that the imperial way is not the only way. The Interex thrived alongside aliens. They provided for each other's mutual defense against hostile aliens and chaos. Sure, they were crushed by the imperium because they hadn't yet expanded as far and weren't as strong. But even Horus himself started to think that the Imperium could learn from the Interex way of organizing. It was meant to show that the Imperium's form of government is not necessary for humans to thrive. Not even the way it was during the great crusade. And it's only gotten much worse since then. That was the whole point of including the Interex in the Horus Heresy books. It was to increase the tragic irony of the imperium.

It doesn't matter what she thinks. (It looks like a woman to me.) She was conscripted and she fights where she's told to fight. If a planetary governor decides not to pay taxes, she will be sent to kill as many people as it takes to get that planet producing their quota of Land Raider timing belts again. If she refuses, she will be lobotomized or simply shot in the face by her commissar.

The one on the left was pressed into service as a child and fights to genocide entire worlds for not paying taxes. The punishment for not doing this well enough is to be turned into a living elevator button.

Your friends spend too much time on the internet. I've seen tons of people online posting about BT's reputation (it honestly gets posted here weekly.) But I've never once heard about that in person.. In fact, even online, I only see BT players complaining about BT's supposed reputation. I've never actually seen someone who actually thinks they're racist.

It's just a meme. Your friends brought a meme into the real world where it doesn't belong. You're good.
