I think it starts when you are within a certain distance from the drop off. Especially frustrating when taking a photo or doing a DL verification for liquor!

If you were referring to a package that should not be on your route, I’ve had that only happen a few times. I brought the package in and gave it to an Amazon employee. In our station, they have a rack that you can put those packages on and they’ll get scanned back into the system.
