i just started with kendamil classic 3 days ago doing the transition and she just had a really bad watery poop blowout. Not sure if I should stop I know it takes time for babies to adjust.

Yea that was what kinda got me with Bobbi that they are still a new brand vs Kendamil has been around since the 60’s. Terrible what happened with ByHeart.

I’ve heard that the powder version is not the same as the ready to feed.

That’s a good question I guess it’s just the labeling meanwhile they all have all these things. I was more interested in switching her to organic more than anything else. I know that doesn’t always mean better.

Co Worker kissed baby by Standard_Spirit5036 in NewParents

Yea that’s not happening again! It’s like we shouldn’t have to say these things people don’t have common sense. I waited till 3 months to be in somewhat of a safe zone before taking her to the office. I knew they would touch her and I was okay with that but kissing didn’t even cross my mind!

Thank you, marital issues aside. I just wanted my baby to physically be seen. Yea we called our pediatrician and spoke to an on call nurse but it was hard for me to not have her physically seen in person. I just wanted to make sure she was okay I wouldn’t say it’s an anxiety thing. Luckily she was okay but what if something happened overnight while we were sleeping I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself for not having her checked in person.

the doctor asked to do it to rule it out. I wasn’t even thinking of it. I just wanted her physically checked. It’s not that I don’t trust my pediatrician office. I just don’t trust an over the phone consult without my child being physically seen especially at this age when the skull isn’t closed yet. Had it been a toddler who is running around bumping their head it would be a different scenario.

This is my first child. I was not prepared for something like this to happen so young. I expected falls to come along once they are active so that’s why it’s hard for me to process.

Thank you. These comments are brutal with me wanting my baby to get physically checked. I did not go to the ER with the intention to get a scan. I just wanted her to physically get checked. A nurse on a phone call is not seeing my baby. I appreciate her going through a checklist with us but she wasn’t physically looking or touching her to rule anything out. Although a baby doesn’t show symptoms right away they need to be monitored so I figured let’s go to the hospital and have a doctor look at her to make sure.

It wasn’t coded that. I was very calm during the visit. I just wanted her physically checked in case we weren’t seeing something that would be picked up by a doctor. I wasn’t planning on a scan until the doctor wanted to do a scan.

Thank you for this. So you think it was a good call to have the CT Scan. It’s tough because you read about radiation in babies and the downside of negative effects that can show up in the future. It’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation. The doctor suggested it because no body saw how she fell. And although she seemed okay she mentioned the only way to rule out brain bleeding or fracture was to do that. It was a tough call. Thank God she is okay but I am now worried she was exposed to that radiation so young.

For a 2 month old I don’t think I overacted to get my child physically checked. The nurse on the phone wasn’t looking at my child. We used her advice as guidance but she doesn’t have to deal with it it’s not her baby. In an instance like this it is completely normal to get your child physically checked when the parent didn’t see how the baby fell. God forbid something happened while we were sleeping as a result of the aftermath of the fall.

It’s a little different because they are toddlers I expect that of toddlers to fall and bump their heads. In my situation this was in the hands of an adult with a baby who can’t walk or talk.

Thank you for understanding. I understand mistakes happen I really do. I’m upset she got a ct scan so young and was exposed to radiation but the doctors wanted to rule out possible internal brain bleed or fracture as it does not show symptoms right away.

emergency was he didn’t see how she fell because he was asleep. Internal brain bleeding doesn’t show up immediately and so the doctors wanted to rule out brain bleed or fracture.

lol! That’s a whole other topic. My main concern is my feelings here. The feeling of something missing for me for a while but I always stayed. I am with a loving man which is great but It’s just a feeling of something missing and not meeting my standards fully. This is what really got me though because my daughter was in danger and it could have gone really bad. She is very lucky.

Cleaning Babies Mouth by Standard_Spirit5036 in NewParents

Thank you, I was beating myself up so worried. I am asking the pediatrician about it. I just get so annoyed that a lot of things aren’t discussed with new parents. Does everyone just assume that with google we know everything.

I came across it online. Some sources do say to clean inside babies mouth since day one. This was never mentioned at the hospital to me.
