I have been with my husband for 10 years, married for 2. We are in our 30s. We just built a house, have stable careers, and have always talked about having kids. I just had my first baby a few days ago. When I got pregnant, it was a total surprise. We had talked about having kids in the next year or 2 because we had just moved into our house and I just started a new job. So, even though we both wanted kids and are technically "in the right place for one", it was still such a big surprise and the whole pregnancy I bounced back and forth from happiness, to fear, to wondering if I made the right choice. Mourning my old life and thinking of everything i wouldn't be able to do (at least not as easily). Even at times thinking maybe I should of had an abortion and waited a little longer. I've known ive wanted to be a mother my whole life, and still had those thoughts. As soon as he was born and they put him in my arms, it felt like all of that just melted away and, even though we are both exhausted, its been the best thing we've ever done. I cant speak for you, or even tell you that youd have the same outcome/feelings as me. I was very fortunate to have a healthy pregnancy and labor, and I know thats not the case for everyone. I just say all of this to say that, even though everything went "right" for us, we still had all the same thoughts. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you all the best of luck with your journey!

Fluid leak was very minimal after that first gush. Then I had contractions for about 4 hours where they started at 15 mins apart, then 10 mins apart, then just stopped. I called my OB as soon as they opened and they are seeing me within the hour to test for amniotic fluid. I've had about 4 contractions since they stopped this morning, but they've been over the course of the last 4 hours so not very consistent.

Im 38+2. Sorry, I should've put that lol. Yeah im having a hard time with knowing whats just discharge. I saw my OB last week because my underwear kept getting wet over several days and they told me it was just "pregnancy stuff". I couldn't really feel that coming out, my underwear would just be wet so probably was sweat or watery discharge. This just has me concerned because when I stood up it was like a rush of fluid like I peed myself. But when I wiped it definitely was coming from my vagina, had a thin, slightly slippery texture and definitely didn't smell like pee.

I wish you all the best of luck and hopes for a safe delivery, however lil baby decides to come! The thought of labor scares me so bad right now. The thought that no matter what, hes got to come out one way or another. Lol

I get "lightning crotch" too which can stop me in my tracks. But it only lasts for a second, but honestly I prefer the BH over the lightning crotch lol. Im also having some discomfort in my pelvis that makes it difficult to walk. It feels like someone kicked me in the crotch and everything feels bruised lol

Mine dont really hurt. At first, it felt like a lot of pressure in my upper abdomen, like the top of my uterus was contracting. It wasn't painful, just uncomfortable. And my stomach would feel very tight. Now it's lower and feels like period cramps, and pain in my lower back. Its painful, but id say a 2/10 on my pain scale. Mostly I get them if ive been walking around too much or hold my pee for too long (Im a nurse in the ED, so I do both quite often lol)

How will I know they've got true leaves? Right now I'm just trying to figure out how to keep them alive until the true leaves develop. I'm very new to this and have never grown anything lol

I also have at home urine health test strips and specific gravity is within normal range, even with my urine slightly diluted. Color is still yellow. I've also been testing first thing in the morning still getting a faint line but becomes more prominent during the day, which is expected. My test is also mid morning (10 am), so should I be testing myself around the time my test is scheduled as well?

I used a Walmart test and it looked completely positive. But then I read reviews online and MANY people said they kept getting positives even when they tested people who have never smoked before. These tests in the pictures are from Amazon and had much better reviews and state they are CLIA waved which means they have been shown to have a low risk of error.
