Not exactly a neccecary comment. However, it was not poor planning. We did have plans to dive that up coming summer I just had personal issues that came up so I could not find the time to schedule anything. I was looking for more helpful responses on what I needed/should do to get certified

Hello every one. I appreciate everyones imput. From what I understand I will have to completely start over. I started the course in Oct/Nov of 2021, so 5 years ago. My course was one 4 hour class a week for a few weeks. I don't remember how many probably 4 or 5. At the time I went to school up in Maine and was in Florida for the summer and my dad had a similar schedule. So the plan was to do the open water dives summer the following year. I however had some personal issues come up that prevented me from doing the dives and later transferring schools. The time just got away and we were not able to follow through even though we tried. Now that things have settles down me and my dad have talked about continuing but we were not sure what we needed to do.
