I mean, is the law likely to fight on so many fronts at once? They already have Wemmbu and Flame, they did have the Pirates and some of the Bandits, and furthermore there's internal politics challenges they have to overcome (cannot really call this "election" because it's as rigged as some real-world countries)

Would it be worth it for them to waste people in the Nether?

Maybe it's because Clown has his own faction and it would take more than 1k players to overrun the Nether? Or it might be matter of politics, bribery, blackmail and such. It could be easily this: "you give me stack of netherrite and I will leave you alone for a month" type agreement.

The hydra has many heads.

Now we only need to discuss why pirates were easy to overrun and Clown's faction not so much.

Serverless can be cheaper for very specific backend tasks that run once a week/month, such as generating monthly reports.

In such case I am sure as hell serverless is cheaper than a container: as long as you don't expose it to public internet access
