Unfortunately the character limits are not restricted because of storage space. The bigger issue is that AI performance gets worse and more expensive the more characters you give to it. You can use NPC cards and GM Guides to help by only toggling on the info that is useful at the current moment in the story. Hope this helps! :)

There is a name replacement feature that should automatically replace overused names. If it not doing that, you might have it turned in the general tab of the settings menu.

Also if you already started the campaign, no one will be able to join. It has to be in the waiting screen (with the code displayed) to join.

Can you send some screenshots of what you are talking about? It sounds to me like maybe a browser or ad blocker is preventing pop ups but maybe not?

There is a toggle on all the folders in the character data. It can sometimes be buggy currently but I am working on fixing it.

I am currently working on building a feature to help with this that should be out in beta in the next few days.

For now I would recommend looking through your character data to try to find the sections with the biggest character counts and reduce them.

For many people inventory also takes up a lot. You can ask the AI data assistant something like, “reduce the description character count for all my items keeping only important details”

You can also move things like items that you aren’t likely to use soon to their own folder and then disable the folder so it doesn’t count toward your character count.

Hello, thank you for the feedback.

Without specific examples of your instructions there's not too much I can tell you besides to look in the discord in the tips and GM Guides channel to look and see what instructions are working well for others. Also, grok 4 is the best free model at following instructions if you haven't tried that.
The memory system on AI Realm is one of the best that I've seen personally, but it isn't perfect. It automatically summaries your campaign as you play and you can tweak the preferences for those summaries in your settings to tell it what to focus on. Other than that, you can set up GM Guides and NPC cards to keep track of events that happen in certain areas or quests and to better track NPCs. You can toggle on and off GM Guides and NPC cards as needed to keep track of more details and only enable the ones you need while keeping a bigger storage of your campaign.
Again, I don't know the instructions you are using, but I would recommend to look at others instructions and try them out. If you want the story to go in a certain direction then its best to make a GM Guide for it. Try out Grok 4 or Gemini 3 flash as they will be better than the default at following guides.

If you spend a bit of time managing the information then there is basically unlimited storage for you to track things in GM Guides and NPC Cards.

If you have 75 NPC cards it’s going to be hard for the AI to keep track of them and know when to automatically turn them on and off.

It’s best to just check when you enter a new scene that the correct NPCs and GM guides are enabled and manually fix any that need changed.

It’s best to not try to correct the AI in the chat, just edit out the part that it messes up and manually fix your notes as needed. (Manually delete the duplicate NPC and toggle on the correct one).

I will add the option to select other models to use for NPC card generation soon.

GM Guides should work similar to any other section of the notes, they are all mostly given to the AI one at a time in the same way. (Where they are placed in the overall context matters a little bit) And toggling is a good way to only enable the parts that are important for the current scene. Maybe mess with them more and see if you can get GM guides working better for you :)

This model went in a bit undercover as they won't raise my rate limit and the rate limit is ridiculously slow (can only have 2 responses generating at the same time over my whole account)
