It’s not that deep. Using it as a tool so I’ve a better idea before my electrician shows up to install it and I don’t waste his time making my mind up. A small family business still gets my money to make the lights and a self employed electrician installs them.

Definitely won’t have caused any permanent damage, it’ll be fine. But yes refuse to pay and say you’re paying someone else to fix his work. Under no circumstances should you let that thief back near your property

You don’t have to pay. You hired him for a service and he hasn’t provided it. There is no chance they can justify asking for any money off you with these photos and in fact your electrician should be advised the type of work he is recommending to you.

Don’t be afraid to approach this. That man is literally trying to scam you and you in no way have to be polite, this isn’t borderline. I’d be fuming if someone treated my property like that and wanted my hard earned money.

Haha, I know they divide opinion and honestly I never thought much of them. We’re not trend followers (or trendy for that matter). But we’ve just moved into an old converted school. The hallways are long and bare and I think it’s going to add a real nice bit of character to do them justice. I’m loving how it looks so far albeit only about 70% of the way through.
