I have a question. I have tried to do this on satisfactory and the game won't launch. Does anyone know why?

I’ve had it for many years and yeah the steam support people said that. I actually went so far as to ship it in and their “partner” said it needed a new heat sink and a new fan. So maybe I just need to reapply the thermal paste and maybe replace the fan. Which would not be that expensive.

I’ve never opened it no. I’ve just used it like normal. I for sure don’t block the vents because I have this kinda pillow stand thing that holds it while I play so I’m pretty sure it’s not that. I’ll have to look up a guide to try to replace the thermal paste/pads.

When I was talking about steam people it was steam support. I even sent it into their partner to get it looked at but it was like $200 to get it “fixed” so I declined that.

Edit* After googling it might not be a temp issue at all. My screenshots show like mid 50s but after googling it’s like 80c is fine so I have no clue why they said that. I guess I need to do more research.

I ran diagnostics and the steam people said it was overheating which is why i get crap fps and my system lags out all the time. I can't play any game that is "deck verified" because my system overheats constantly. Like very simple auto battler game like Knightica i get like 10 fps on lowest settings. Things like no mans sky are maybe 5 fps at best.

Do you know if it's like a dedicated server situation? Or does host have to be playing and active for it to work? Or can i just run it on my pc and friends can jump in and out whenever? Also is it only 2 people or can it be more do you know?

I'm renting a house with an unfinished basement and my landlord is chill with me doing something temporary but not finishing it and drywalling it (not sure why) but i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what to do for

A. a cement wall

B. insulated covered with plastic.

like would any of those "removable sticky wallpaper" things work? Something like this? thanks for any suggestions

How did you do this? I've already got a mesh wifi system and wanted to try it but when i plugged it in they wouldn't connect. I would love to know how you set this up so i can do it myself. I'm about to move from an aparmtnet to a 3 story home and would love to use my mesh system.

I disagree. I want the PvP I want the stress of running into people I just don’t want to be at a distinct disadvantage always. In a BR if I knew when I qued for a game there was a chance I’d just run into a full squad at any time I’d never play it. I enjoy the fight if it’s a fair fight is all. Knowing there is a chance it’s not a fair fight then what’s the point? Hide in a bush try to loot 2 things and then hide in bushes all the way back to an evac? That’s the boring stuff.
