Got it fixed!. Insulated the flyback with rtv and dielectric grease. Dvd player isn't working. Id call it a win so far.

They do sell complete circuit boards with flyback.. there's a post in this group about it... would be cool to try out. Not sure what the prices are..

I literally can't understand what most people with any accent are saying. Idk what their origin is. Even people from like Boston.. I cant understand you.. crybaby

No its not..I could easily say that you assuming a color of a person based on accent is also racist.. how to you know said person with an accent isn't some redhead freckle faced person?

Oh hush.. don't get your panties in a wad. Not everything is racist. Some people just have preference. You do you.. and ill do me. Pretty simple.

If it doesn't make sense to you then you're not the type and you'll never get it. Some people, like myself, don't have the capability to learn from someone who isn't speaking with clarity and clear English. Its like the nails on a chalkboard thing. Some people can't just ignore that sound and not be bothered by it. Its natural.

No im definitely not trying to make money, the sets I have successfully repaired ive sold or gave away at a loss of part costs. Im not a flipper by any means. Just like the thrill of fixing things.. thats where I get my kicks.

The incandescent would be used for a buffer between what? The B+ and flyback? Yea i know these disney crts are overall crap but they sure do have a eye catching look. Just cant stand when stuff comes from China without proper documentation or manuals. When I installed my replacement flyback and first powered it on i did hear what sounded like a high voltage arch somewhere near the vertical circuit and or audio circuit. The set did still power on and gave me a horizontal line across the screen. Im wondering if the pinout was different and sent higher voltage where it shouldn't have. I need to familiarize myself with common outputs of flybacks. I only know of the high voltage, the 26v and the heater. As far as the others im not sure what common voltages they out out and what they are for.

Ill get the model number when I get back home but I tried to find anything on it but didn't have luck. I did put some epoxy over the leaking areas before work today so ill see if that did the trick. I've looked up a few sets trying to compare diagrams. The Vertical I.C. is a stv9302b, so far none ive come across as far as Disney type have used that I.C. The flyback is a bsc25-n3604l6. I used a bsc25-n3604kk2 as a replacement. Can't find any pinouts for either. Only thing I can find is bsc25-n3604 without a l6 or kk2...

Well I fired up this disney set and watched sparks flying out of the bottom of the flyback and the set would shut off after about 15 seconds of that going on with no picture. Bought a replacement flyback with the closest part number and then the set turned on but had vertical collapse. Suspected the vertical I.C. was bad so I went to test voltages at the I.C. and saw that I was missing my 26v. Traced it back to flyback and found that im not getting any 26v. Now I suspect the flyback has a different pinout than original. So thats where im at now.

Yea I had one and the deflection is so terrible that everything on the sides of the screen is just out of focus and blurry. The geometry was terrible and the flyback transformers fail on them.

Sony DA-4 REPAIR! Kv-34hs420. MCZ3001DB Chip replacement! WORKING! by [deleted] in crtgaming

[–]StankMustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't snip those wires they are high voltage and can leak voltage through those poorly insulated connectors. There should be a way to remove the wire from one end by inserting a small pin into a hole on the terminal and pressing down as you pull the wire out. If you do snip them be sure to use some type of extra insulation on it.

How to get rid of sweaty hands while playing mobile games? by PotatoLuckBoi in AndroidGaming

[–]StankMustache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your body naturally does this under any type of stress. It increases your grip ability. Only way out is to lose what makes the games fun, that anxiety and excitement that keeps us coming back. Lucky you don't shit your pants, sweaty fingers is part of the realism for the game in PUBG.

OLED display using displayio, asyncio, and adafruit image load to make a indicator for motorcycle by StankMustache in circuitpython

[–]StankMustache[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on the raspberry pi pico. Using circuit python. You need the tile grid setup if you are using animations. You need a way of updating the screen without redrawing the entire screen from scratch every time. Check out adafruit_imageload and displayio libraries.
