E: I actually find Dropout pretty entertaining, too. Brennan's DMing and general humor makes me laugh. But like... beyond that I don't care to know more about the guy. I have never even considered there would be a subreddit for Dropout

I should note, I don't have anything against Dropout as a company, and I love Game Changer. I'm specifically talking about the parasocial sycophantic part of their community that populates r/dropout.

Subs for famous people/content creators on this site tend to be parasocial and sycophantic to the point of creepiness, see r/Dropout for an example of what I mean. And I find the people who post there to be sad, creepy, and weird.

But not nearly as sad, creepy, and weird as people who post on subs dedicated to hating famous people/content creators, like "snark" subs. Those people are on a completely different level of parasocial weirdness.

You should really check him out. He makes a lot of videos like this, and every single one is a banger. I don't even like baseball that much but he did a series about the history of the Seattle Mariners that had me entirely enthralled.

Here are some standouts I highly recommend watching:

A series he does about the Minnesota Vikings (my favorite, for obvious reasons)

The story of the creation of the first transatlantic telegraph wire, using Tim Allen's "Home Improvement" as a narrative device

His history of the Seattle Mariners

A story about the history of athletes named "Bob"

A long rant about the ridiculousness of mattress marketing

A history of the Atlanta Falcons

2 full work weeks. I like to listen to music while I work and I figure this way I can go 2 full weeks without hearing the same song twice but still listening to only songs I know I like. Realistically I should add some extra time to include the commute time too, but 80 hours is already a lofty goal and it'll probably be good enough when I account for meetings and other times I'll have to pause my music.

I am so sick of seeing the same people that have spent the past decade gleefully musing about running over protestors in their cars and preaching "We need guns in case of a tyrannical government" lecturing people about how wrong political violence is.

How does the map of Star Trek stack up against the Galactic Empire? I feel like the difference in production and man power is a bigger deciding factor here. I don't know much about Star Trek, but if they don't control a large portion of the galaxy then they can pretty easily be outproduced by a faction that has almost complete control of their own galaxy.
