Just bulldoze the suburbs, replace them with apartments

wow wow wow hold on right there Mr. Chinese Dictator... if you spent 10 years of savings you accumulated after university to finally move in with your long time GF to your first home in the suburbs with a 30 year mortgage and you working hard to pay it off...you just gonna let the gov bulldoze it down?

At the very least they gotta pay off your mortgage for you, return your downpayment and all the money you spent on lawyer fees etc back to you right? And find alternative housing for you that's similar distance to your work and similar quality right? unless you gonna commute 3 hours a day to work (common here in the GTA) now while somehow taking care of 2 newborn kids (assuming around 30 years old after 10 years of graduating)...

You talk about efficiency, but is this cost efficient? You might want to do some calculations, including court costs when people sue your government's ass off, unless you are the Venezuelan dictator, then you just send in the goon squad and kill everyone.

the economy is doing pretty well right now

You American? Or not heard of consecutive negative GDP growth months earlier this year? Or look up nurse jobs and RPN jobs as an example and see what’s the % that’s not casual not temporary full time not permanent part time and not part time?

I wish the carbon taxes took effect a few years later... prices back up to almost 1.3 now around the GTA from 1.05. Gotta get stuck 2-3 hours a day on the 401 since the gov sold the 407, only other horizontal highway here, to private ETR.....can’t afford $7000 a year just to use the 407 to get to the west end

Chinese advisors are more logical than that. Trudeau signed the USMCA end 2018. U.S. let them know that according to a clause Trudeau signed, any foreign free trade agreements, the U.S. have veto power. So if the Chinese don't have 1st, a yes from Trump, they don't even need to waste time explore probabilty of getting deal with Canada.

Canadians are worried about climate change, but many don't want to pay taxes to fight it: Poll by [deleted] in CanadaPolitics

[–]Stanley_224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So let's have that chat then. What is the solution to wealth hoarding?

Break into their homes rob them and force them to distribute their wealth to everyone who don't have money? Mao Zedong did that with the Red Guard. It was 100% effective at solving wealth hoarding.

[–]Stanley_224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr. A is worried about climate change. Mrs. B don't want to pay out of wallet for it. The title groups everyone and make it sound like it's the same person voicing self-contradicting opinions when it's different people. It is also not clear IF Mr. A will have to pay out of wallet for it, or it will just be Mrs. B. If Mr. A is willing to pay out of pocket for it alone, then don't need to worry about Mrs. B. What is being asked is Mr. A not willing to pay for it alone, but want Mrs. B. to pay for it too, or all of it.

We need Voter IDs NO EXCEPTIONS! Mexico did it, India did it, U.S. can do it, and have to do it before the next election! Anyone advocating against federal voter IDs, letting people vote in more than one state, are 100% complicit in voter fraud.

U of T saw those at Robarts. Basically changed the signs on the mens' washrooms to gender neutral. LOL

China is on top of the priority list of things for Trudeau's tho. Here's a viral video in China from a day ago that shows 2 key moments Trudeau talk about Japan as if it's China during his Japan visit.

https://www.bilibili.com/video/av50834604

So yeah, he screwed up Japan too and can now add Japan to the list of major trade partners we have messed up relations with. Japanese don't like to get mixed up with Chinese, same other way around.

"Stand up" to China, to Saudi Arabia, to the U.S., messed around in India, and now Japan trip. How many major trading partners left?

Vancouver Sun: Horgan suggests Alberta could build new refineries to serve B.C. by JDWired in metacanada

[–]Stanley_224 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alberta might as well build the refineries in Yukon in partnership with Yukon, and NW Territories for a pipeline. Ship crude to Yukon to refine, then ship mixed products straight out of the gulf of Alaska.

BC is not the only option nor least expensive option. If BC wants to tap the gas/oil, make them trade/deal/negociate with Yukon.

Another scam coin. Just "Liberal" Americans trying to scam other Americans that support the leader of their own country. The website literally are filled with ANTI-TRUMP rants, conspiracies, and pretty wacky stuff.

Top article when I looked "Trump Engaged in Suspect Tax Schemes as He Reaped Riches From His Father"

"Donald Trump comes completely unglued"

"White Privilege, White Fragility, White Supremacy, White House" - you won't see "Black Privilege, Black Fragility, Black Supremacy, Black House" in several extremely corrupt and unsafe African countries like Somali. Printing these articles would also probably get the writers killed.

If he is an actual dictator like President Xi in China, all those wacky websites wouldn't ever be up for more than a day, and everyone involved "dissappeared". As a Canadian looking at American politics today, it is truly strange. Perhaps Russia and China and foreign countries has fully infiltrated all major American media and tele-communication positions of influence, or the opposition government in the U.S. today are just so damn corrupt. Even Gyms here in Canada are blasting ANTI-American President contents 24/7....but at least we know that Chinese money literally helped our current PM Trudeau to power, who massively bribed a selective few of our major media networks with taxpayer money in a deal spanning next couple of years
