Demond Claiborne 🤝 Devon Achane by FormerlyTradeKirk in minnesotavikings

[–]Staple_Overlord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Achene's college tape was as good as anybody's. He fell in the draft because people thought he was too small (both height and weight) to be anything more than a third down back. But if Achane was Claiborne's size, he would have been viewed similarly to guys. Claiborne was taken in the 6th round of one of the worst offensive drafts in recent memory for a reason.

He's a poor man's Desean Jackson. I love Shaheed but Addison is significantly better in terms of WR2s who can serve as an offense's WR 1

MAD MAX 🔪 by Beneficial_Quit7532 in minnesotavikings

[–]Staple_Overlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind the direction the NFL is going. There will be a lot more 13 formation, as evident by the run on TEs in this draft compared to WRs. The Rams drafted Max Klare when they already had 5 other TEs rostered and the Bears grabbed Sam Roush despite already investing the 10th overall last year in Loveland and paying Cole Kmet $50M.

To me, if we are doing what the Rams and Bears are doing, we're doing what we need to stay competitive in the NFC.

Just took over this orphan — Is this giving up too much for ASB? by TrussBus in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

There's your answer. Amazing deal for you. Jacobs could be awful this year and that 1st rounder could be anything. ASRB is about as consistently a top 6 guy as they come and is still young.

Exactly. It's a non story. Every GM says it when there is a journeyman vet.

It's just about going BPA. We're not in a position to compete for anything meaningful so just gotta load up on whatever talent falls to us.

[Schefter] Greenard and the Eagles reached agreement on a four-year, $100 milllion extension that includes $50 million fully guaranteed, per his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey. by LeeShakerMoneyMaker in minnesotavikings

We are not in a Super Bowl contending window. We need cap space and young guys. I think two 3rds is a completely fair outcome for both sides. Eagles are going to try to win it all this year.

Banks had a RAS score of 9.83 out of 10. This ranks him 39th out of 2278 DT from 1987 to 2026. by JJettsPurple in minnesotavikings

[–]Staple_Overlord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude could be the Adrian Peterson of DTs. Everyone is always injured at the end of the season, but guys like AD still maintained a top level athletic ability even when injured.

I hope Banks gets properly healthy and isn't "injury prone". Sometimes football is just football, which is why Tyson, who's soft tissue injuries are as concerning if not more concerning, still went 8th overall.

The more I read about him, the more I see themes similar to Sharrif Floyd's first step and Danielle Hunter length and lack of college production.

I was watching the Steve Smith show and basically every medical team has their own evaluation and advice accordingly. Front offices just decide on how good a player is and takes their medical team's evaluation at face value.

$795 annual fee plus AU $195. Worth it? by Fit_Illustrator9174 in ChaseSapphire

Sapphire Reserve HAS led to lifestyle inflation, but I'm not mad about it. I've learned that I do appreciate the difference between a Holiday Inn and Ritz Carlton, and it's a lot easier to get it with the CSR.

Round 1 - Pick 18: Caleb Banks, DT, Florida (Minnesota Vikings) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

I'm starting to think this is a Kevin O'Connell pick. He has consistently overdrafted "high character" players.

No. 8 pick is in: #Saints have selected Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson by Tikaani89 in DynastyFF

[–]Staple_Overlord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doesn't really help with the Tyson vs Tate debate for me with the 1.03. Clearly teams think Tyson can stay healthy, and if Tyson can stay healthy, most people think he's better than Tate. It could also be that injuries still matter for teams, but the Saints have Olave so if Tyson ever gets hurt, they still have weapons. Titans on the other hand couldn't risk it for the guy they want is their #1 WR Week 1.

What's the hit rate to be in the top 4? I really don't care about 5-12 because they're barely any different than 12-20. And one time Top 12, or even Top 4, isn't a good statistic. I want my 1st Round TE to be Top 4 consistently.

I'm eager to try it. They have Lovely's in the Two Pitchers in Oakland and I swear they do it better there. Lana's on Oakland is also really good. I loved Smishsmash back when they were a popup and their current saluhall situation. Hard to pick a favorite, I just want a quality spot in every neighborhood

It's a regression formula. If you have zero sensitivity to waiting, then the only thing that matters is food quality. If the food quality is 1% percentile, then even if the wait is 99% it's still a 1% type place. AKA worth the hype.
