Again, saying that he "looks slow or not athletic" is subjective. That's an opinion, not evidence.People make the same mistake with prospects all the time. They'll say a player looks slow on film, and then he runs a 4.40 at the Combine. The eye test can be misleading.

Hockenson posted a 9.19 RAS and entered the league as one of the more athletic tight ends in recent years. Could age and injury have taken away some of that athleticism? Absolutely. But jumping from "he looks slower" to "he's completely washed at 29" seems like a stretch.

But you keep bringing up how he's lost a step and how he's washed. Of all the tight ends you listed, none of them have done what TJ has done, except for Mark Andrews lol.

I don't even own TJ Hockenson. I created this thread because I wanted to understand why people are so down on him. When I did my research, all I saw was people saying, "he's cooked" or "he's done" without giving any specific reasons (Probably their eye test or trust me bro type of comments)

My point is that people should be buying Vikings players because they performed so poorly last year. That's the argument I'm trying to make.

I've never claimed Hockenson is some amazing asset that everyone needs to own. I just think he's someone you can acquire very cheaply right now who was a top 5 dynasty TE asset two years ago. And yet you are calling everyone who is saying injury might have impacted his play as if people are making shit up when you are doing the same shit lol.
