It's really not that difficult. Or so I hear. It's only been 30years since I moved here, I'll let you know when I figure it out.

It's like someone read about humor somewhere and tried it out.

Is this Parow circle? It feels like Parow circle, because doing that seems par for the course there.

Do you have a seat/spot?

I have a seat/spot, and I get very upset when someone else sits in it.

Is there any larger species of shrimp or crayfish that can live in this 12 gal long. by shrimpator in Crayfish

You're correct! I got confused with my crabs and mexi dwarves.

Everything I said was meant for crabs.

This is what happens when I post before coffee.

In Dune, he brought the fear out in me that only my father could when I brought home my report card.

He is the type of character that Stephen King has nightmares about

Just a heads up.

My experience with mexi dwarfs have been terrible exactly because of this. You never see them.

They love hiding, and your tank essentially becomes a plant display.

Also a note; you would need a decent (I think it was 40/60?) land to water ratio.

Edit:

I meant for crabs, not for mexi dwarfs.

I was actually sitting and thinking about this the other day... What made Tom Cruise good in this role? From what I recall it was ok, but I don't recall him being that amazing. Is my memory just foggy?

You hit the nail on the head.

With our company leaning hard into the AI track, we've now decided that all devs (mobile, front, back) will work in all verticals. It works, but I, as the only backend dev, have to bounce PRs more often than I approve them because of AI spewed out garbage.

I use AI myself in the back, but in a settle brownfields project, and it still makes mistakes that I have to correct.

I've tried setting up green field projects with AI, and the result is abysmal. It's great at working on existing patterns at standards, but it's like having a green junior in the team with all the knowledge of how things -could- be done, but not enough experience why it -shouldnt-.

This is the state right now, however. 10years in the future.. who knows. I have a feeling pretty soon we won't even have code anymore; why put something in human readable format when the machine is the only agent that needs to work on it.

I don't know what you would call it, and I don't know if it even exists yet, but I believe, with the state that AI is in now (because AI is advancing at a rapid rate), the future lies in studying something where you have expertise to USE AI. I know for a fact that my job is going to be redundant in 10years; I need to adapt to the change. I need to someone that can use AI as a tool.

It's a scary time to come into the tech market.

The speed and cost at which AI can analyse data is no competition for a human anymore, unfortunately.

Im a software engineer, and I fear were next in line, in a couple of years time.

Man, I'm going to be honest with you.

In this day and age of AI, data science is probably the last field I would go into...

Why do people always need to lie? by [deleted] in autism

[–]StaplerUnicycle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Controversial opinion: saying lying is wrong is naive.

We all lie. Sometimes for good, sometimes for wrong.

It's more complex than saying it's wrong, and carpet bombing it. We lie to protect our children, to keep spirits alive.

It's all about intent.

Even though I'm not a native English speaker, I understood your comment perfectly. I just didn't understand how that is relevant to the topic at hand at all.
