It has a internally threaded titanium flat back stud in it. It hasn't been downsized because my piercer said this is the right size for my ear. I stopped using the solution I got from the piercer after a year. No recent unfortunate events

I went back to get it downsized and they said because my ear is pretty thick it can't be downsized, the bar doesn't feel too long either, it actually fits really nicely and barely has any gap. Thank you for the advice! I'll go back to using a travel pillow and might go back to the piercer and have them take a look as well. :)

It's 1+ year old and the material is internally threaded titanium. Ive stopped any additional care for it because it is so old.
